This is so weird. You can find Nintendogs so easily here in the UK. Oddly enough, in my hometown in Brazil, Nintendogs + Cats was so easy to find that, in the shop where I bought my copy, they had two or three more. And then, in the shop where I got Pilotwings and Mario Kart DS, they had three, I think. I've seen a lot less Nintendogs + Cats in the UK so far, but an obscene amount of OG Nintendogs in Kent. Heck, I even walked down to my local CEX to get a copy of Dalmatian and Friends that they had in stock, which was in perfect condition.

When I was a kid I had a Nintendog named Dibbs. He was a Siberian husky and I accidentally gave him up for adoption 😭 I miss him so much now so I bought a new copy of Nintendogs. I can’t get him back but his memory will live on!

I just played mine today after nearly 10 years. I feel liking I'm missing a dalmatian names Spot, though. One I recognized named Yuna, the other two dogs I don't remember. It was nice to see that they are still alive. I gave all three a bath, food and water and named the new dog Paige.

UK viewer here, this video is very inspiring. I recently picked up a cheap copy of Labrador & Friends and now I am addicted to buying more cartridges. The copy I picked up hadn’t been touched since 2008, more surprises to come! I had the Labrador and Dalmatian copy as a kid but seemingly lost them… They may turn up when I move out. My dad found a Moshi Momsters cartridge stuck in my gran’s vaccuum so anything is possible

I'm guessing the cartridge reader on the 3ds is going bad. DS games have started to fail over the years, but not to this level. And some of the games may have just needed their contacts cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Out of 25 cartridges I'd expect maybe 2 or 3 to be completely unsalvageable. So what I'm saying is basically he pulled a PETA and killed a bunch of fine Nintendogs.

If it helps, you CAN get fabio back! There are specialised services to fix dead cartridges, and its pretty easy to dump the save data onto a pc and into a new card. If you haven't thrown him out, I'd love to buy fabio's cartridge

hey, if u wanna clean guck off off the cartidge gold plates, try cleaning it with some isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. Wait for it to dry, then insert into the ds. It worked when I tried cleaning a 3ds cartridge. Hope you can meet some new friends now!

@@KindofBradAtThis they didn’t sell well unfortunately. The pins were bad and most of the time wouldn’t register that the device was in the DS. Froze often, and if a transfer of saved files failed to complete, it would corrupt the save file on the game cart as well

I think the cartridge reader on the 3DS was going bad, 22/26 (including your own cartridge) of them being bad is an extremely unusual ratio, even for sketchy games bought off ebay. I'm sorry to tell you but you may have accidentally pulled a PETA move and killed a bunch of perfectly fine Nintendogs. May they rest in pieces. 🪦
