This was probably the best explanation on why reptile eggs can not be turned. I've watched a handful of reptile based KZbinrs and they've never explained it this well.

You should also follow Snake Discovery and also Brian Barczyk.........they breed snakes and other reptiles and explain about why they can not let the eggs get rolled. Its pretty awesome when you see the snake eggs get ready for incubation and then watching them hatch....... Snake Discovery is very educational!! 😃❤

@@melcurll I do follow Snake Discovery, have for years lol. I'm not a fan of Brian's channel and just stay away. Emily does explain it well, and I fully understand the process as well as why reptile eggs can't be rotated, however it was the visual that made this the best explanation. Not everyone is just an audio learner and this is the first video I saw that takes that into account.

@@annataymond9529 for me, I can’t stand to watch his videos because it seemed he was all about just making money. In the zoo, the animals have nice habitats but the animals that are not on display seemed to have the bare minimum they needed to survive in their enclosures and sometimes not even that. I recall seeing him open a bin in a wrack and it was a snake, a water bowl and some sheets of paper for “bedding”...that’s it. The paper I understand there# reasons sometimes to not give a real substrate but there was no hide, no enrichment items, nothing else in that bin!
@DeadpanVT
@DeadpanVT 2 жыл бұрын
@@annataymond9529 Brian has done some sketchy shit from snake breeding a species known for neurological and genetic issues for money to his large snake having mouth rot visible mouth rot for months and just overall being more business orientated then animal respect orientated he cares more about his wealth than his animals and it's come off very very much in his videos. Multiple reptile channels have called Brian out for this. A lot of his breeding setups don't even have the bare minimum such as a hide a lot of his enclosures in the zoo are good but when it comes to his breeding area where a majority of his "inventory" is he has like a small cup of water and a paper towel and that's it they have zero enrichment or hide.

We lived in Okinawa. And we had this tiny storage room outside. When my older brother opened the door a bunch of tiny eggs fell out most broke. But like two or three idk forgot lol. Survived. So knowing they must have recently been laid because we go to storage like everyday haha. I put them in a big carrier thingy like yours in the video. And they all hatched like two months later almost. They were lizards it was so cool. Doing that is what made me wanna hatch eggs . So now I hatch and raise birds. From poultry to parrots. It’s one of the best things. Watching as they grow inside. Watching them hatch. Bringing life into the world is amazing. I love it. I have 6 Cochin baby’s rn and they follow me around

There are far better compliments to come up with. Her physical appearance isn't everything she has to offer. Try complimenting her video or what she's doing in it. I notice comments like this more often on female YTrs channels. It's weird how folk are convinced that mentioning someone's beauty a million times would be flattering anymore. Just let her be a person. Not everyone is vain and needs to be reminded of how they look every single upload. I'm sure she'd rather you admire her work.

I really like the Monarch Butterfly and the Monarch Caterpillar Stickers. When I was a little child waaaay back in the 1970's I found a Monarch Butterfly that was sick and I simply held it, all day and my older sister wanted to hold it on her hand but the butterfly would let it happen so I held it and tried to give it some water but it was dying. eventually that evening it died in my hand and I was heartbroken, we kept him in a box with a glass lid because he was so beautiful. Ever since that day I have Loved Monarch Butterflies and I learned everything I could about them and eventually we discovered that they were Migratory and actually flew South into Mexico for the winter and now they are becoming so rare and endangered because of the destruction of the trees they gather on and spend the most of their winter on. They are amazing creatures and I know a Monarch butterfly and caterpillar on sight! Those are nice stickers, keep them safe and in good condition because we may see one day when the Monarch is extinct, May that NEVER Happen but the entire planet is under massive amounts of stress and Climate change is ruining a lot of things and wiping out so many species! This is the first time I have watched any of your videos and I am so happy to see that you are helping creatures of all kinds. Excellent work Steffanie! keep it up, it is so awesome you care sharing your love for all animals and insects etc. with your viewers, and I know you will pass on your love of creatures great and small to your children if or when you have them!!

I’ve done “similar” transfers of critters that can jump to their death. I put both boxes or whatever in a bigger enclosure, cardboard box or something, then if they do wriggle away they’re still enclosed in something. So difficult to handle tiny creatures, I’m the Queen of towels, socks, old shirts, anything to not hurt them in the process of rescue.

As a person with these ‘Lizards’ living in my house, I have always lived calling them ‘bifu’. Bi meaning walls. These means they just leave on our walls. It feels weird seeing them in a habitat as I normally see them on the walls eating spiders and ants so we do not have a ant apocalypse. One downside of them living on our walls are the feces they leave everywhere. I guess everything comes with a cost😂

New sub!! I absolutely ADORE cicadas!! So adorable and the little songs they make are so precious to me. Everything I hear the cicadas songs it puts me at peace. I find it oddly satisfying. My cat is named after a Cicada! Actually her name is Kaeda.. but I had to be weird about the spelling. SyKaeda but everyone here pronounces cicada as Ci-CAY-da.. I named her that because she is very.. VERY chatty. And she is a tortoise shell calico and the pattern on her fur reminded me of the cicada I found the year before I rescued my kitty, So yes.. cicadas are absolutely my favorite insect.. butterflies are an extremely close second ❤
