While I don’t know if it would have affected anything in the video, I did want to note that technically the team that didn’t exist at the time was the current Charlotte Hornets, not the New Orleans Pelicans. It’s a weird story, but the old Charlotte Hornets and current Charlotte Hornets are two different franchises, technically. The old Hornets moved to New Orleans and were the New Orleans Hornets for a while, and Charlotte got a new franchise in the Bobcats. After a few seasons, the New Orleans franchise changed to being the Pelicans and the Charlotte franchise took the old name of the Hornets, even though that franchise had never been the Hornets to begin with, because the Bobcats were never as iconic or popular in the city of Charlotte as the Hornets had been. So technically the current Hornets franchise is the youngest in the league and didn’t exist at all in 2003.
