I see that place, the stairs, the layout and I can imagine, way back when it was lived in, a couple kids running down those stairs Christmas morning, all excited.

This would have been a beautiful home in its day. Every time I see when it makes me wonder what happened to the family. And why no relatives came forth. It's always sad to see them so decayed and destroyed. All those happy family memories just rotting away.

The fact that no online info exists of these people and/or business kind of adds to it, imo. But I guess it does seem like they likely would have split when the internet was in its infancy

Hey Noah. Doesn't look like anything has changed in this deathtrap of a house. I'm a bit surprised too about that wall. Betcha it won't last much longer. Doesn't look like there are any stairs to the basement or have they rotted away.

That collapsing wall also holds up the roof, next time you check this place out it might be completely collapsed. I believe this house was one of the first I saw on your channel, I think the only change is more of the ceilings have fallen in. Stay safe in your explorations 👍☮️🇺🇲

Assuming your poster did sell to an Italian family in 1989, I suspect they ran into financial problems and took off. But why didn't the bank resell the place? No mortgage perhaps? Wonder if your poster recalls if she sold to an all cash offer?

I often wonder why it's seen as good to leave the belongings rot instead of rehoming them. It's clear nobody is coming back to live in houses like that. So sad to waste all the dishes and furniture.

The wall looks a bit more buckled and weakened than it did two years ago, and just overall there’s been a little more decay, holes in the roof a bit larger etc. I think in a couple years - probably 2023-2025 - that wall is going to give way. Only 20 years abandoned and on its last legs structurally. I would guess this house was built in the 1970s. June 5, 2022 4:54 pm
@karenmilligan55972 жыл бұрын
Since the cars have tags starting in the nineties and the last one in the 2000's I'm guessing that when their car breaks down they just buy a new used car instead of getting their car fixed. The story about them returning to another country sounds plausible. Did you see pics or something to make you come to that conclusion? Thanks for doing this follow up. 👍🏻
@patrickarseneault74072 жыл бұрын
on one side you have the house to visit and leave stuff there for other to be able to see, but on the other side would it not be nice to save some stuff that are still usefull and in good condition before the house implode on it self and then everything is really lost
@mancima2 жыл бұрын
I’m really intrigued by the slot machine pieces you found in the garage. Wish you had dug around in that box a little more. Also, that pool wasn’t originally made that deep. Probably 8ft in the deep end. It wasn’t cement construction like a lot of built in pools. This was made with hard sides (probably aluminum ) with a sand bottom covered by a rubber liner. The liner tore (you can see it piled at the bottom of the deep end) and the ground collapsed below making it look deeper. The first video of this house was one of your videos that hooked me Into your channel.

Yeah, those dark wood kitchen cabinets are almost identical to the ones that were originally in my house, and the carved closet doors were a very 1970s thing.

House had to have gotten seized. People just dont walk away from a house and leave everything. Still though if it was seized it doesnt answer why nothing was auctioned. You need to look at the tax records still and or who's name is on the property.

Who actually owns the house? Someone has to own the property. Is it the province? I cannot imagine a person owns it and is paying taxes on it. If the province owns it, you would think they would raze it or at least secure it.

You think oh they should have replaced the roof but for all the ceilings in the whole upstairs everywhere to be coming down the Russian must be right wood houses don't last with extreme weather. They do in the South but obviously way up there where it's extreme cold they don't. That's why they're making the houses out of steel and metal in Russia and concrete to survive the harsh Winters
