Hello everyone!! I have a Patreon now!! This video has honestly been a nightmare with copyright (literally right now it's in a dispute and I can't make any money from the ads on it) so if you like what I do and want to support me this is one of the best ways to do it! You'll get your name at the end of videos, first look at what I'm working on, and more! If you're at all interested, please take a look, it would mean the world to me💕 patreon.com/InsightfulLlama?Link Thank you all so much for the support, I'll do my best to keep making awesome videos! SPOILERS FOR VIDEO: Also the reason I didn't include the springlock scene was because I felt it happened too early. It's such an iconic moment in the games because we had several games for the mystery of the killer to be built up, so the final karmic punishment of him being doomed to the same fate as his victims felt really good and cool. It's such a defining moment for the franchise and I was a bit surprised that the first movie jumped to use it so early. So I decided to focus on establishing William as an active and horrific villain outside of the suit and save the iconic scene for a possible future installment. I enjoy reading suggestions for how it could have been in this version, but since removing the scene was one of the earliest decisions I made in the writing process, I genuinely don't think it would work in this version of the story. TLDR: The springlock scene is a surprise tool that will help us later! ;)

The scene of William talking to Abby at school is genuinely bone chilling. Something about how casually he is trying to get personal interest to use against her shakes me to my core, because you can tell he's done this song and dance to all the other children who fell into his traps. Also, I'm not sure if it was intentional, but they way you draw Vanessa's noses makes it look like a rabbit nose, clever.

I'm so glad that it's an actually good rewrite that doesn't just remove Abby from the story. William is probably the scariest I have ever seen him in anything, official or otherwise ever, so huge props to that too. It does suck that you got rid of the Springlock failure (I mean, c'mon, it's a Canon Event) and I still think it could've still worked well in your rewrite but everything else is literal perfection, from the dream sequences to Vanessa's personality to Psychic Friend Fredboi (or it's probably Fredboy). But c'mon, you could've some other reference to Sparky then just the restaurant. But again, this is amazing work, keep at it!

If it weren't by me, it would've just been by some other.. y'know, terrible thing just... You could not imagine how terrible it would be. Just... I get scared thinking about it! Glad it's not me. Reminds me of a.. of a time I was speaking to my good friend Orville. We were... we were sitting on a park bench watching the pigeons. I was on the left, he was on the... oh wait. Was I on the right?.. or left? Anyways, it doesn't matter. We were sitting on there, watching the pigeons, and I.. uh.. I said to Orville: "Friend, those birds are frozen!" He... kinda looked at me like I'd lost my mind. But I reminded him that it was winter, y'know? And often birds will sit in a tree until they'd freeze... Then they'd, they'd, you know, sort of fall to the ground until the sun warms up, an- and they can, y'know, move around again. So I said to Orville "You'd might as well save those breadcrumbs until the birds thaw, because they can't very well enjoy them in the condition they're in." To which he asked what I meant, and asking what condition the crumbs should be in before he threw them to the birds, assuming that I had meant the birds couldn't enjoy the breadcrumbs in the condition that the crumbs were in, when in fact I had meant the birds couldn't enjoy them in the condition that the birds were in, considering the birds were frozen, y'know? So he took a moment and then threw his last handful onto the ground. I said to him "Orville, why did you throw the breadcrumbs to the birds when I just told you they're frozen?" To which he responded "The breadcrumbs are not frozen," again misunderstanding my words. I didn't mean to say that the breadcrumbs were frozen when I told you they're frozen. I've been referring to the birds. You know, in hindsight, what I - what I should've said was - and this would make perfect sense: "Why did you throw the breadcrumbs to the birds when the birds are frozen?" He misunderstood upon my correction, stating that he didn't know what else to do with the breadcrumbs, and that perhaps, y'know, when the birds thawed they'd still be able to eat the crumbs. So I...I..I said to Orville - I said - This is what I said to him - I said: "Orville, the birds may be dead."

@alfiewhitestone8676 Ah, it seems that you have met your end. Ah, what a pity. You know I, I don’t feel too bad about it though, after all if it weren’t me, it would’ve just been one of the others I guess… I’m honestly just glad to be out of those air ducts. You know it’s… it’s not easy for a hippopotamus to fit up there… and… not easy to get down either. I’m not as young as I used to be as you can see, I used to be able to do all sorts of things, you’re young, you’re vibrant, you have that sort of pep in your step. Ah, it reminds me of a conversation I was having with one of my good friends Orville. We were having a nice picnic one day. I believe it was summer? Oh, perhaps it was… was it the fall? Yes, yes, it was the fall because the leaves had turned already. But I said to Orville, I- I says, “Orville, I have a story to tell you.” And Orville looked at me, you know, kind of odd and- and said, “Well what’s it about?” I- I said to him, “Not every story has to be about something Orville. Sometimes a person just wants to talk, why does it have to be a story?” I said to him. He just looked at me and he said, “Well y-y-you said you had a story.” You know, he was quite right, I did in fact. I told him I had a story. I suppose if a person just wants to talk, it’s best to not announce that you’re tellin’ a story. Tellin’ a story does come with its own pressures and expectations I- I suppose. After all, if you’re just talking to a friend then, there’s no more expectations then if you were talking into the wind. Words… by themselves are not expected to carry… aren’t expected to stick. But if, you know if you announce that you’re tellin’ a story well then… there better be a point to it all. No one wants to sit and listen to someone ramble on and on and on with absolutely no end in sight. So, you know, it’s- it’s good to be mindful that when you tell someone that you’re about to tell a story, that you have something to say. Tellin’ someone that you’re gonna tell a story is tantamount to asking them to stop what they’re doing, and pay attention. You’re basically saying “hey, hey, hey buddy, stop everything, stop what you’re thinking, I have a solution to everything.” And well, I didn’t really have any story to tell. In- in hindsight I probably just misspoke when I said that I had a story. I think it would’ve just been better to tell Orville that I had something to tell him rather than tell him that I had a story, but you know e- even then it might’ve put too much importance on the whole thing. Either way it was quite a nice day. I remember, I remember that we were drinking tea.

This is a 3 1/2 hour MASTERPEICE. One of my biggest critiques from the original was that it wasn't a great MOVIE, but it was a fantastic FNAF MOVIE. In this, you somehow made a movie enjoyable for people who are new to the franchise and at the same time make a movie that fans can respect and giggle at all the goofy references. I probably would have kept the springlock failure ( even though you've probably got a billion other comments saying the exact same thing) with William Afton telling abby to wait in the pizzaria so he can dawn the yellow rabbit suit that was put in the trunk of his car before he went to pick up Abby. Then, I would have him try to escape the fire, going into the back room Abby had escaped to call 911 right after Mike leaves (in this scenario Chica wasn't breaking in). He finds there in no way out (not noticing the vent) and eventually is cornered by the kids, starts insulting, starts laughing, and the springlock failure commences. In my version I would have much more screaming, as in reality this would be a pain like no other. I would also put some camera shots from the inside of the suit but still showing William's face, if that makes sense. Theses shots would show the animatronic eyes replacing the human eyes, and the animatronic teeth crushing William's jaw. Another issue I had with the original was when Vanessa says the VERY unnecessary line; "It was there bodies." I think it would be better off without it to show that the writers actually trust there audience to put the very obvious pieces together. I very much liked how you made an objectively better answer to the question "BuT WhY WOuLD He GO BaCk ANOthEr NigHT?" Really liked how you fleshed out Aunt Jane's character to not be a "cartoon villain" (@mishapp4439 captured this perfectly). At first I was very sad that you removed the MatiousPatious' cameo in the Sparky's scene, but then you whipped out the library scene. CHEFS KISS! This is, in my correct opinion, 10x better than the original FNaF Movie. Sorry about my college essay revue. As you can probably tell, I'm very passionate. Fantastic job! Keep it up!

I love everything abut this video, this could have easily been a 10 minute video with not that much effort put into it. But you went out of your way to make an entire plot, storyboard, and have the viewers feel immersed, as if they're watching a literal movie. Are you sure you're not a professional writer? I just love how you managed to make each character not feel bland with the amount of depth they have and really went along with the dream sequences mike had in the original movie, was really invested. This version of aunt Jane in the film ACTUALLY makes her getting hit by a car feel undeserved, it feels like she actually matters to the film now. Instead of just being a cardboard cutout of an obstacle. Good job! The only problem I think with this rewrite is the fact the script hinges on the narrator explaining characters feelings. Which isn’t to horrible most the time but some scenes are down right painful.

@philardo 11 күн бұрын
This was actually insane storytelling. The gameplay is beautifully integrated into the story, something I'd have thought was impossible and every character feels so realistic and down to earth, which in the original movie, I only felt with Mike. Aunt Jane is probably my favorite character in this. She's flawed, she's difficult, but she tries so hard and the more time passed, the more I was actually rooting for her. I feel like you made all of the characters be active with something that makes sense, while removing less relevant elements, like the sitter and her friends, who broke into Freddy's. (Not that that would have worked in your story to begin with) Vanessa going to prison makes so much sense too, cause she obviously has to face consequences for what she did, but at the same time, it's so explicit that she has a future regardless and that's important too. Anyone who's not purely led by emotions knows that criminal justice should primarily be rehabilitative. Although that raises the question of what will you do with William, who could never be fixed. On that note, I'm literally at the edge of my seat, wondering what happened to him. I'm also wondering, what'll happen to everyone else. Even though the ending is great, I literally wish, we'd have gotten to see more and that's the mark of a great story. The purple car? Great touch too. I still call Afton purple guy, after all this time, cause I just associate him with that color. Lovely visuals in general! What an absolute blast to watch.

Wow. I’m like, honestly genuinely impressed with the final fight scene. I can see how it can be controversial, but I think removing the spring Bonnie suit for the final fight was honestly a very good call. Because it’s always kinda bothered me that the final fight felt so… empty. And maybe the reason was that Afton pretty much could not move very much, making it feel a little awkward. Besides, he only wore the actual head for a very short time, so the majority of his screen time was just him in a comically oversized suit.

The parts with Afton and Abby were delightfully creepy, and I love how you portrayed aunt Kate. I can tell how much effort it took and it came together beautifully! Every 5-10 minutes throughout watching this, I could not help but sigh from frustration and disappointment because of the fact that we will never have a second chance at getting a fresh original fnaf movie that the general public could have had a good first impression with. We will forever have a mediocre fnaf 1 movie that, instead of being a great standalone movie, is really only enjoyable to super fans. Props to you for writing a masterful adaptation for fans and general audiences alike without watering down what makes fnaf such an amazing world. I hope Scott, Emma, Jason, and everyone involved in the sequel sees this video and is aware of how overly safe and flat they went about making the first movie. I really hope they paid attention to how many people were disappointed with the movie and work their butts off to make a movie that makes the first look like a joke by comparison

A bunch of other people are saying they wished the springlock scene was in this but I'm actually super glad it wasn't! In the games, there was a build up of finding out the animatronics are possessed by kids, finding out who k[KZbin]ed them, and then seeing purple guy get his. Having all that in one movie diminishes the build up and mystery, so having Afton escape is a very smart choice (plus, in-game springlock failure>>>>>movie springlock failure).

Wow. Just wow. This is 10X better than the actual movie. I really like How you changed the Characters. Mike and Abby have a better relashionship. Mike isnt changed a Lot, but its still a great character. Vanessa is way better than in the Movie. That ending battle was amazing. Aunt Jen, like the other characters, is very realistic. You can actually understand her motivations. William is fantastic. He's actually a constant treat and terryfing. You improved this Movie A LOT. The dream sequences, the "Gameplay" section in the office, everything is amazing. I'd like to see stuff that happened in the Movie back, like the First guard Death, the criminals getting killed, and the cupcake being a menace. Of course, there was no Springlock scene and "I'll always come back", but that can happen in the future it you did one of these for the third Movie. Solid 9/10. Id kill to see this as an actual movie.

I watched this to the end, and this is genuinely a masterpiece. While I love the original movie to no end, this is GENUINELY a great film, while also being a great Fnaf movie. However, without the satisfaction of William getting springlocked, the climax is just a bit underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an amazing ending, but I feel the irony and narrative finesse of William being locked away in the very thing he used to kill the children would’ve just been the cherry on top. Still amazing, and an actual crime that this doesn’t have millions of views. Fantastic job!

2:38:22 Left me fucking speechless, the little details like Michael and Abby talking about Hippos as a nods to the animatronics, Fritz running towards William reminding me of the GO GO GO minigame from Fnaf 2, the way that as another commenter said "Aunt Jane becomes an actual character" I love everything about this rewriting of the movie, and it is criminal that it doesn't get the attention it deserves. While others have said that the springlock scene not appearing might be bad, it can still be done in the future.

Damn, I love this way more than what we got! I’ll give the original credit tho, at times it did get some of those horror beats right. But at times the movie felt too kid friendly. This rewrite hits just right and feels more horror focused rather than the kid friendly vibes and I love that about this take on the movie. This is just me but one thing I would’ve loved to have seen in here and the original movie was the animatronics speaking. Those Creepypasta videos back in the day were some of the craziest FNAF media I found at the time and loved how the animatronics sounded as well as the atmosphere those videos gave, especially the series, “My Summer Job.” Every time they spoke I got a feeling of dread as to what would happen next. Overall, this is an amazing take on the movie. Hope for the best in future projects👍👌

Very well done on this, I really loved it and it was the kind of thing I wanted from the movie. It does stick to the source material and the vibe I'd always of imagined a fnaf movie to have but it also does what it has to do to be a good movie on its own, which is what I thought would have worked best for the real movie. I always had in my mind that they didn't have as much personal life stuff in it and that the movie would have been better off without aunt jane, but you reworked the character to make her a much better, fleshed out and more human/understandable character opposed to just a plot device. Same with the dream sequences, something which I thought the movie would have been better off with less of, but I like how you had it in between each night to make more room for animatronic action, and how you actually involved freddys in these sequences, and made it feel really creepy/more nightmarish opposed to the generic mess the dream sequences were in the movie. Aftons character, not much to be said here that hasn't already been said but it was done very well. Much more i could say but i probably dont even have the space here to It honestly really surprises me how you aren't a screen writer. This is the best rewrite I've seen so far and it depresses me how we didn't actually get this. If this pitch was used by a script writer who understood it well, it definitely would have been close to a 10/10. The one bit of criticism I have, which I guess comes down to my opinion is that I wish the springlock scene was there. Not only is it the end of the third game (seen as the main end for the trilogy) but I feel for the movie, it was the perfect closing point as it shows the villain being defeated. This, again, is down to my opinion but I hate when movies leave cliffhangers/things unanswered until the sequel, as they assume that it's going to be built into a trilogy, especially seeing as it might not be. I think that they should treat most movies, more namely the first one like it will be the last. Not only does it prevent disappointment if there's no sequel but it also means that all the best ideas will be used for that one movie and it will stand alone on its own. I feel there was opportunity for that as william was in the pizzeria, as that was a chance for him to put the spring bonnie costume on. Overall, absolutely amazing job though.

Dude... sincerely, the highest props to you for this screenplay. I know im probably repeating everyone else's sentiments, but this isnt just fanfiction; This is CINEMA. What a way to breathe more life into the story and add so much depth to the characters as a whole. I've now stayed up to 3am to finish listening to this and it was well worth it from start to finish. The eerie suspense from night 1 onward made me squirm every time Mike left the office. The Nightmare Freddy sequence especially had my jaw on the floor. The incorporation of classic gameplay - flipping through cameras, Chica glaring through the window, Foxy LUNGING at Mike - proves that it CAN work and still make for a gripping story. I do agree with some commentor's ideas for possible changes near the ending, but I look forward to seeing your vision pan out. You kept it close enough to the original film while upgrading the muddy parts to the nth degree, and this has become probably one of my favorite film critiques or video essays of all time. I hope none of the negativity detracts you from knowing what a great job you've done. I hope you'll continue making more banger content going forward, and that you recieve the exposure and praise a work of art like this deserves. Amazing work, Llama.

14:47 Can already tell you've knocked it out of the park by how good this scene is that's totally devoid of the murderbot gimmick and any fanservice. Afton preying on Abby is an incredible idea; and using the dreams as a stand-in for the minigames. It's a wonder they didn't make Aunt Jane more like your version seeing as Mike genuinely isn't fit to be a parental guardian. It must have been out of a desire to make us root for Mike to succeed even though we would've anyway just on account of him being down on his luck. Yeah, this is better than the one we got. It feels a lot more like it's trying to be a definitive Five Nights at Freddy's movie and as good as it can be rather than holding back for the sake of it being a potential franchise. Albeit, it seems like a lot-probably too much-content for the runtime of a single movie.
@theinsightfulllama

1:40:52 I’m this far in. And man is this amazing compare to the actual movie. As the actual Fnaf movie feels very shallow and undeveloped. I also really love how you did the aunt character. As while she isn’t “the aunt of the year” she’s still trying and just want the best for Abby. Which I believe raises the stakes even more than the original. As both Mike and the audience shows how much of a better fit the aunt is in taking care of Abby. Along with explaining why Mike keeps going to the place

This has got to be one of my favorite fan-creations I've ever seen come from the fnaf community. I cannot express how amazing this is, and I would LOVE some kind of sequel script or at least follow-up, because I'm genuinely invested and intrigued with the way you took the plot. Also, because nobody's mentioned it yet; The thing about Mike's dad being involved. My first impulse was to think that Afton had killed the father after convincing him to leave his family, but now I'm almost sure his father must be Henry, which is such a brilliant plot idea and it makes so much sense. I know it's a theory for the actual movie, but it feels so much more natural in this re-write. The foreshadowing is immaculate. Also, I know a lot of people in here are upset that you didn't write in a springlock scene, and I, too, was disappointed at first, but after that ending I think it works better this way. I feel like the added springlock failure stuff would make the already tense ending cluttered. And it gives fans something more solid to look forward to in the next movie. Overall, great work! As an artist, the fact you storyboarded most of this was particularly impressive. I put this on in the background while I played Stardew Valley, it was absolutely transcendent. Great visuals, great narration, great storytelling. 10/10

I just finished watching it. To be honest here, I actually really enjoyed this. I wasn’t expecting 3 and a half hours long. I started last night and finished it throughout the day. It made me wonder what would happen next, and i was thinking about it all day. I was a little dumb to think Dave was an ordinary guy, but with the purple car. That should have been a red flag, when I saw him hit Jane and kidnap Abby. That sudden feeling hit that he was evil, and when Vanessa said his real name was William Afton i was like ‘I knew it!’. And I actually liked Jane in this one more than i did in the other one, she was a lot nicer to Mike and Abby, and her whole personality was a lot better. Plus my favourite part was the final battle towards the end with the pizzeria on fire. Mike, Vanessa were badly hurt, and Abby made it out just fine, and now with Freddy’s gone, no one has anything to worry about. But i was quite surprised at the end when we saw Vanessa in jail. I thought she was a recovering guard, but when i saw what she was wearing, I discovered she was an inmate. But this film was really good. For 3 and a half hours, you deserve a reward. So The Insightful Llama. Well done for your hard work, and I’m going to give this film an 8.5/10.
