Very nice the neighbors tried to help. You are needed. I like that you are stepping in at Level 2 to some degree, and so detailing is coming in, as along fenced, buildings. The whole yard wasn't done, so a basic catastrophe phase is still ahead. Was thinking your brush cutting blade would be good on the vines, not wrap up so much, and you ran out of string at a good time, just as you reached the undone area. "The ground is moving", under your mower, so that says there is a lot of mass in the vining. The yard is back to usable and with space back, a BIG accomplishment.

Another one of those crazy Jungles !!! Lots of hard work and determination to get through it...but looked to me like one of those long pole saws or hedge trimmer would have been best on the tree or tree-like plants. Those bare limbs left sticking out sure do need cutting off! But the vines, oh the vines, what a mess and you did a great job demolishing the vines !!!

Looks like the vine is morning glory, which is an annual, will die off with cold weather. But the seed bank in the soil must be immense, so it will be an ongoing issue every year for years! Proper maintenance will be essential!
