Thanks so much for watching! I'm also trying to get volunteers for an Instagram roast. If you're interested, please let me know!

I do a lot of social media posts only on Facebook and LinkedIn. I do not use Instagram. Their users tend to be younger and my client base is older.

I don't even have an Instagram account , but I can create one and you can roast it for sure 😊!

@@brunovincent1969 Thanks! I did an Instagram roast already, and now I've decided to turn all my attention to LinkedIn since I find that way more fun.

Thanks for the terrific feedback. I learned great tips from all roasts. Glad you saved the best for last 😉 Regarding our holiday memes, we have had the same conversation several times. I do not think we have ever come to a 100 agreement. Thanks for your input on that. Keep the great tips coming. 🤠

Thanks, Bob! I really appreciate your participating in the roast, and I'm glad you got ideas from the video! As for the holiday memes, there definitely is subjectivity when it comes to social media. 🙂 Thank you for being open to hearing my thoughts, even if I'm a broken record. (It's also tough to get off the soapbox!)

Your videos are getting so good that I need to watch em...I miss too many nuggets when only listening! Do you have any voice only recordings or podcasts?
@DelawareShoutOut Жыл бұрын
Hi Bruno! I don’t yet have any podcasts, but that’s a good idea! Maybe at some point when I have more of a team and thus more time freed up, I can add podcasts to the mix. Thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks, Brooke. The takeaway from your critique of my post is: write the post and actually post it. Then, when it displays poorly, delete it and edit it for optimal display.

Absolutely, Janet! That's exactly what I could have said in the video, and I'm glad you're sharing that here. And again, thank you so much for participating in the roast!

I love the Warning that a post-Graduate reading level is a killer. You turn the Roast into a Boast, by critiquing, but then you do a rewrite and recommend significant changes, which gives me hope. Your statement "What we intend is not what always comes across" is foundational when making posts, thanks.

Thanks, John! I just go back to a life lesson that was taught to me many years ago: Don‘t complain without offering a solution. 🙂

Question about the company logos in holiday images. Is there a benefit for companies doing this as sort of a watermark to prevent unauthorized usage of their image by others?
@DelawareShoutOut2 жыл бұрын
That‘s a good question! A watermark could be okay if it‘s subtle and doesn’t get in the way of the main message. 🙂

I'm new to using LinkedIn for marketing, so if this is an obvious question, please forgive me. How did you research to find out what hashtags are most effective for maximum yield? If you already have a video covering this, please just post it here.
@DelawareShoutOut Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. It was actually a bit easier to do hashtag research when I published this video than it is now. Now, when you'll do is type the hashtag in the search bar, and you'll see posts that have that hashtag. Click on the post so it's completely opened (not just in a search result), and find the hashtag in it. The hashtag should be blue. Then click on the hashtag, and you'll see how many followers the hashtag has. I like to choose hashtags that have over 100 followers but not millions of followers. Keep in mind that hashtags play only a minor role in the success of a post. Topic selection is much more important. I have a video coming out about that in a couple weeks. :-)

@4:21 *How did you check the followers for that hashtag?*
@DelawareShoutOut9 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking! After the video was made it’s turned into a convoluted process. Search for the hashtag in the search bar. Click on a post that shows up in the results. Once you’re fully into the post, find the hashtag (should be blue and bold) and click on it. The page that pops up will show you the number of followers. I hope that helps!
