im excited to see what yamaha does the next couple years with regards to harescramble/gncc / enduro models. The cody webb and Kailub Russell signings along with KTM's issues seems like perfect storm

I also have a 2025 YZ250F. I've noticed the low-end power still feels excellent at partial throttle positions and is great for woods riding, but lacks significantly at WOT. I mostly notice it in 3rd gear when I'm coming out of a corner on a mx track and try to hold it wide open. If I don't have enough momentum the bike will just bog. My previous 22 could pull 3rd gear WOT from pretty much any slow speed. Overall it's still the best bike in my opinion!

i got a 25 FX and I love the power, it has plenty of bottom end for me.

I suspect that the low end may be more of an issue on a motocross coming out of corners. Maybe not as noticeable in woods racing where you are rarely wide open out of a corner for very long. Regardless, as you note, the FX has some airbox differences that seem to make the low end better while at the same time improving mid and top. Numerous reports of guys not being able to get to the rev limiter the power band is so broad. '25 FX sounds like a winner.

seemed pretty snappy off the bottom - I think the comment below about on a moto x track might be more an issue or if your in a rhythm (jumping section) on a moto x track where that quick hit is really needed - mapping can get the power curve where needed - need more low end change the mapping technology is awesome - cool video Donnie

I have both a 2015 and a 2022 YZ250FX. I have to say I like my 2015 better. More low end power than the 22 generation. That being said I really like the Power Tune App on the newer generations.

i have one and i have a fmf full system and a xpr dual injector and a vortex ecu and it gives it a lot of bottom end with the xpr dual injector and you get 500 more rpm with the vortex

I've been wanting a new WR450F in the worst way. The WR250F I rode seemed awfully slow (2018 model). I'm sure the FX version of the 250 must be more powerful.

@@nosyjoeYeah, the US version of the WR is very restricted. It has an airbox restrictor, exhaust restrictor and is limited to 3/8 throttle. All of that can be removed but in stock form they are lackluster for sure.

6 Speed on the fx will make a huge difference on the fx w/ same engine.

​​​​​​​@@DirtBikingwithDonnie I currently race the 50+ C class in North Carolina on a 2022 YZ250FX. I rode a buddies FE450 and and after riding about 10 feet realized I was behind the 8-ball. No engine breaking at all. I could ride in 3rd gear and never bog and I could pull any hill. It was like a Cadillac. The only thing that wasn't great was corning. It cornered fine, but tight 180 degree corners were not its strong point. I haven't ridden a lot if other bikes, but that ride opened my eyes as to how specialized a bike can be. My Yamaha is definitely more versatile as I can ride motocross and hare scrambles, on the same settings and there is plenty for either discipline. Due the engine breaking and stiff forks I have to be in better shape to race it, but it is a great bike all-around.

Don’t expect Yamaha to fully commit to GNCC or harescrambles. There is WAY more money in Moto and Supercross.
