I went to see the traditional wooden houses and shrines of Kyoto before cycling all the way to Osaka with my friend. After the ride, we wandered around the crowded Dotonbori

We biked from Kyoto to Osaka a couple of weeks ago on our bikes brought from Chicago, one of which was a tandem. We have just returned and are recovering. It was a great trip and experience. Now, I need quite a lot of time to process my photos and videos from the trip to upload them here on KZbin.

@@hilmiiman Yes, the tandem was a great smile and conversation starter. I joked that it was currently the most beautiful bike in Japan, and actually, it was an easier option for public transportation in Japan (which was excellent) or for an international flight than our single-person bike for our third team member.

nice video bro. however I was warned before by local not to enter kiyomizudera, sannenzaka and ninenzaka area with bicycle, even strolling them around is prohibited. instead park it public bicycle parking area. should reconsider if what you did is a good example to others watching.

Thank you bro. You're right about Kiyomizudera area, I was asked to park my bicycle at the nearby bicycle parking before entering (because it is a private property) and so i did. (As you can see when I was in the Kiyomizudera area I wasn't with my bike). Maybe I should have shown or told the part where I parked the bicycle haha. As for Sannenzaka area, I don't think you're prohibited from strolling your bicycle there, I saw other locals bringing their bike as well. (Even cars pass through the area) Sannenzaka area is a street of shops, the street is public area, so I'm sure it's okay (as long as you're not disturbing others).

I do not know what the Kiyomizudera, sannenzaka, and Ninenzaka areas are, but about one-and-half week ago, we had no problems reaching the old Kyoto area by bike (except for a steep climb) and parking nearby. There is no photo or video yet, though.

I guess you can. But as a gaijin, I went around asking local and bike shop on do and don't, and which area to pedal and not. In a matter if you can? Yes, you can. But should you? Depends on your ignorance as a tourist.

07:50 these "subscribe" during videos should be avoided, we see too much of them, it doesn't provide any information, it's disturbing like advertising, and so I leave the video and avoid returning to the channels that use them. I liked the video so far, that's why I'm making the effort to warn you.
@hilmiiman

Thank you for the comment. Personally I'm not that disturbed when I see other people do it in their video (as long as it's not too obnoxious lol). I understand that it does serve a purpose and is actually useful information for some people. Sorry if it disturbs you

@@hilmiiman On videos that we watch with great attention: the landscape, the atmospheres, the music, the appearance of these tags breaks everything, it's like poop placed on the board. With the repetition of this type of visual, I refuse, and I blacklist the content which has it, I have long used the "subscription" function to separate the channels which do not place a "subscribe", and to avoid to meet some via suggestions, but since the shorts spam subscriptions (there is no separate tab), I no longer subscribe. I would like to filter through a blacklist, but that is not planned by KZbin! For shorts, the problem of spam by shorts is solved in Firefox, we have extensions for that.
