Nice job. I don’t like Damascus blades, but this topographical etch is amazing. And a great anodizing job mate!

It’s been a while since I’ve commented, but man, great save! Love the pocket clip. When are you going to make some scales for a Sage 5 Lightweight?? 🙏 😅

Pretty cool video, thanks for sharing. Nice save on the blade, although I don't know how I'd feel about giving my Spydie a gas station damascus finish - it's still better than what you had. The scales should have polished or at least sanded down to 600-800 grit before ano. I think you also should have left the clip alone. I don't think there's much that can be done to a wire clip besides coating/blasting it that wouldn't look silly. Overall though, still a cool video and I'm glad that you're happy and that's all that matters.

Thank you very much and no problem! I'll be honest, I think I did too much trying to save the horrible blade etch. Looking back I should of left the pocket clip alone or get a black coated clip. Appreciate your feedback! 🤜🤛

That is sick! I'll take that over the spyderco brand on the blade.

Couldn't you have "hand rubbed" it with a vertical satin finish? Looks sweet. The end result is interesting, I am no fan of purple though.

I tried hand rubbing a small section but the pits were too deep😕

Have you tried Muriatic acid and Hydrogen Peroxide at a 50/50 mix? Its basically Ferric Chloride but doesnt have the iron element to it. Just wondering if that might be the issue.
@KnathansKnives2 ай бұрын
I haven't tried that but that's something I'm willing to give a go. Appreciate the feedback! 🤜🤛
