I too was looking to build my own to save money, but after watching this video, I rather pay than to do all this. You are a master at the craft and I am in no way capable of doing something like this easily in a short amount of time.

I’m sure you could make one a lot simpler with some wood that was already square and planed on all sides and use that for the legs as well and you needn’t have a load of tools. I wish I was a master 😂 I’m still learning everyday. Thanks so much for watching

@@SteveBellCreates I was thinking and looking at the shelf, the lower shelf level is kind of thin. Could you put a brace on the lower center area for more support? I was going to say a desk would be nice, but I actually like the layout and desk that you have. Maybe a nice arm rest for your keyboard made from different types of wood. I made a few our of scrap wood that people give me.

This is the best DIY desk shelf I’ve seen. Well done mate. Defo looks as good as those expensive American ones. However I must admit if you spent £30 on just glue and that small second shelf plywood. I think overall if you’re having to buy everything it probably won’t be that cheap to make. And grovemade do use premium materials I’ll give them that. Plus the labour as this does take some craftsmanship and mustn’t forget taxes. As well as other costs I’ve not mentioned I think it can start to add up. Although still I’m not buying one nor am I advocating others to buy, I can understand why they’re expensive now.
@SteveBellCreates5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much I’m glad you liked it . I only spent £13 on the glue I had the veneer for free but you could buy self adhesive veneer. The thing that bugged me was the cost of postage from grovemade to the Uk was so much. It for me it was worth my while to make my own. Once again thanks so much wor watching and your great comments
