Hi Amy, Thank you for the free printable! I can't wait to try this. I did this technique some time ago but sprayed water on back instead of "soaking" in water once fabric/photo was dry. I sprayed until image showed thru and then gently started rubbing. Mine came out pretty well. I know transferring images can be hit or miss but nothing ventured nothing gained, right? I think the trick is let it dry 100% after the matte medium and don’t rub to hard when removing the backing. Enjoy creating! Hugs, Amy💕

Such a great result Amy! This is quite different for you from what I've seen, so be proud! Perhaps you needed another layer of gel medium on it before soaking. The striations from your brush may have made it to thin too. But as you say, you never know how these techniques will work each time you do it.

This is so pretty, I love it! I've done image transfers on fabric before but mine never came out as good as yours. I didn't know to soak it for 3 minutes so mine always came out with a shredded paper haze. I'm eager to try it again now that I know that trick. Thank you so much for sharing this. 💜💜💜Tia

I think you may have left the transfer in the water just a little too long and softened the matte medium too much. I have printed on fabric with my ink jet and always make sure to heat set the ink. I haven't tried it on my new Epson Eco Tank yet. I used to get printer fabric that was silk and the fabric was very thin and the pictures came out "ghostly". There are so many options! But I think the one you completed turned out beautifully!

I have an idea on this project that I will try. A while ago I bought some printable canvas sheets to print digitals on. ( I was making a journal cover.) I think I will try printing your generous freebie on it and use it. It frays well and I can use my HP jet printer. Love your piece, as usual it's stunning!

Well. I tried. But mine didn't stick to fabric at all. So I think I need to check into it a bit better. Mine just pulled off with no transfer. I did a laser copy. So... I will try again.

Try with ink jet and make sure you put a good amount of matte medium and let dry completely. Idk that’s as much as I know about it. Maybe a bit less time in the water, idk.🙏❤️
