'Miss Elsie Palmer' reminds me of actress Elle Fanning for some reason.

🌟The Lady in White, also known as Elsie Palmer, has found her permanent home at the Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs. As a native of Colorado Springs, I grew up admiring this beautiful painting, and it played a significant role in inspiring my journey as an artist.🎨❤

Thank you so much for this - I'll probably never get to see a Sargent in real life, but I can get at least a little closer to that dream through this video!

All his portraits and landscapes are stunning. No doubt he had the talent to differentiate the textiles, and make emphasis on all details that make the clothing so special according to the sitter.

Why do you pronounce his name "Sergent"? His name is Sargent, with an A!

There is no detail in Sargent's paintings. There is the illusion of solid form and brilliant colour, rendered with scintillating brushstrokes. Sargent learned to paint in Carolus Duran's atelier, and there he was taught to ignore details.

Loved seeing the video of the show, but found the explanation and audio unbearable!!! It would have been better if you just quietly videoed the show. By now all the Sargent fans know all the stories.
