yeah i had a nasty break-up and 6 years later she was trying to sleep with my friend and he reached out to me beforehand to get my blessing. at that point i had moved on but he just wanted to make sure that if him doing so wouldnt hurt me and that if it would he would back away from the encounter. to go through that extra effort to take me into account when it wasnt even cheating or anything really touched me and showed me how much of a friend he was. no, not a friend. a brother.

If I remember correctly, OP’s first marriage ended because his first wife cheated on him with his brother. The reason he was NC with his family was because they sided with his brother. And adding insult to injury, it was _OP_ who got taken to the cleaners during that divorce. Poor guy.

That's what cost him so badly in the divorce and worked against him because they could depict him as unstable and violent (even if it was warranted, and honestly, as much as I'm not a fan of violence, walking in on your spouse screwing someone else? @@tallyp.7643 Unfortunately this is why lawyers in divorces like these STRONGLY advise against confrontations or revenge, because it doesn’t look good in court no matter wronged you are. There was another OP awhile back who had his cheating wife served at work, where a cake displaying a photograph of the wife and her AP (the boss) was presented with the divorce papers. It humiliated the wife, but as a result OP had to submit to unwanted marriage counseling to prove to the judge that he was a “reasonable” person.
