I was hoping the dust port could be helpful in preventing mess but looks like not. There are some affordable spark arresting vacuum Units. The belt speed is enticing for metal.

Can you remove that tray in the front and grind on the rubber coated front wheel?

I'm not 100% on what you're asking but you can pretty much take all the guards off if that's of interest.
