Hello we are staying in Santa Rosa Beach next week and I think we're going to stop and book a hotel in Navarre Beach the night before so that we can go shell hunting the next day. We've never been so could you perhaps tell us where exactly we should be looking for shells? Is there a hotel or condo that has private beach access that we could stay at that would be better than others? I was looking at a place near opal Beach is that any good?

Good morning Bob, Navarre Beach is blessed with many public access points. Shelling changes every day and since there aren't any "spots", find a place to park and start walking. If there isn't anything at that spot move down the beach a quarter mile and check there. Happy shelling.

I got a spotted bonnie today in the mail. I was so excited. Just watching you pick up the shells maks me want to hunt shells...aka treasures. Never heard of an egg concle. Lots of rich colors popping up. Are the shells more colorful in the summer months then in the winter months hun?. Thanks for sharing...Janet

Hi Janet, hope you're doing well 😁. Regarding colors, there doesn't seem to be a seasonal change. However, the farther south you go the richer the colors. Have a great week.
