Hey Liz! Nice finds!!! I just LOVE looking for sea shells, and we're recent transplants to Navarre ourselves!! I may have to take my Mrs. with me one of these non-beach days and do this very same thing! Thanks for the great idea, and please keep sharing these!!!

My boys and husband made fun of me when I went beach combing in Navarre beach...I begged for us to go. We finally went and I went to work! Needless to say, I turned around and my husband and sons had all joined me in beach combing! After 6 hrs we didn’t even realize how sunburnt we were! And we JUST booked a vacation home for July! Now to find all my beach combing stuff! Love the video!

I just moved up from central Florida and I havent seen ANY shells but tiny clam style ones and I’ve been to Navarre, ft Walton, and Pensacola. Are there certain spots I’m missing? I miss the giant lightening elks and huge sand dollars i used to find before moving up to the panhandle. Homesick!💜
@LizFisher12 жыл бұрын
The shells come and go, it can be very hit or miss here. Winter is the best time for shells to wash up. During summer you have to really work for them, snorkeling is the best route for summer 🧜♀️

Hey Liz, great haul today! What an amazing Shark's Eye. I found a couple whoppers last week while visiting Marco Island, but they were not that big. I did find a Junonia on Marco last week, which now will have pride of place in my collection back here in Nebraska. Thank you for sharing your shelling videos with us, it sustains those of us who also love to shell but don't live near the beach.

Great finds today! That shark’s eye was huge! The first Atlantic Cockle you found had very pretty colors. I have big shiny lettered olives too! So glad you make these videos so I can kinda feel like I am shelling too. Do you know if the Florida fighting conchs that don’t have knobs are a different variety from the ones that don’t?
@LizFisher13 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think the FFC without knobs are just worn down from the surf maybe? But I'm not sure!

Hi Liz. How is the shelling in May? Any luck on Ft. Walton?
@LizFisher13 жыл бұрын
May shelling can be hit or miss, we usually go through a dry spell in the Spring with shells. I've never tried shelling in Fort Walton so I'm not sure how it is there.
