I just realised this but when Zoe says that she's a Hufflepuff 'only on her good days', she literally means it. Zoe wears a yellow piece of clothing in every scene except for two; in both of those scenes she is still getting over Peter and therefore it is not a good day for her. Despite the green sweater, Charlie is actually wearing a Ravenclaw tie! (In the movie Ravenclaw colors are blue/silver, rather than the book's blue/bronze.) Yulin Kuang The weird (good!) thing was that even though I got the same feel, it never felt like "oh they took this from Edgar Wright." It was always "oh wow they're really *thinking* like Edgar Wright. That's excellent." Especially with the very careful sound effect placement. If that makes sense.

I love the fact that Zoe was a Hufflepuff- too many fic leads end up being Griffindors, and Hufflepuff house is seriously underrated. Also, the new girl being a Slytherin was perfect- not because they're evil, because they aren't, but because they're ambitious and as a Slytherin she would be totally okay with Peter's personality as long as it got her her time in the spotlight, even if later she would throw a fit if he broke up with her because that's what people do when they lose something. This actually reminded me a lot of Scott Pilgrim vs The World, like with the style and humor. It was incredibly good. In the short 19 minutes I became so attached to the characters. I think this might just be my favourite short film in the history of ever. I just stumbled upon it through Mitchell's playlist and honestly its the best. I have so many feels for this. Its so cute and funny and adorable. At times the styling is very Wes Anderson which I adore. But it also has a very modern feel to it, very new age and can connect with this generation. I am now going to go and watch your other videos because if this one is FREAKING AMAZING your other ones must be too! i think you're rad and this video was super inspiring. I want to take the time to say just how glorious this short film is. It keeps popping up on my recommended as it slips my mind and I honestly sit down and watch this a good handful of times every year because it's so good and insightful. Watching this whilst single, whilst in a relationship and whilst experiencing a breakup (me in this moment) opens up the film and I take different things from it. The music is excellent, the Edgar Wright vibes and the acting is wonderful. I really love this short.

I love this! I like the new editing and directing style that was so well incorporated into the story, a good balance of natural dialogue and non-naturalistic stylised bits.
