The hair is growing. However the thing to look for is. Is your natural hair retaining length. The hair grows without a bunch of products. The keys is making sure your hair ends are not rough. If they are rough the ends will break and there goes your length retention. The sister in the video keeps her hair moist n with a balance of protein. Honestly eating a lot of non GMO greens and fruits will give your body protein in which your hair will have protein. But if you use chemicals on your hair then you will need external protein to help mend the hair from damage. Being a natural cosmetologist for 20 years+ I have seen many hair n scalp type and structures I have gain a great deal of wisdom. The science of hair and listening to your body n hair is one of the major factors 🔑 Also picking a protective style that does not create a great deal of manipulation to install and uninstall as a protective style. I find medium large twist,cornrows or plaits work better for my natural hair to obtain length retention. Do what works for your natural hair. However putting in mini twist,mini braids creates a lot of manipulation on the hair which can causes breakages. 10-20 twist,braids,cornrows is my sweet spot. I started mine on Saturday. Personally, I do not like mini twists. I prefer medium/chunky twists to mini twists. This is because I feel mini twists can easily break my hair. For my challenge, I installed medium braids.
