This is why for big bombers you run the checklist: Can i hit 1) engines? 2) tail fins? 3) wing tips? Don't shoot 'in the general direction', particularly when you don't have large caliber armaments

Had something similar happened on one of the desert maps cant remember which one, I was leaking oil and low on ammo so I started heading back to the airfield. This guy starts following on my six, so I dive for one of the dunes and head straight at it. I pull up right before I hit it, and when i check behind me, the dude had crashed into it. Sadly another plane caught up to me before I landed and I died.

Yesterday a guy shot half of my right wing of in my f6f Hellcat but luckily my teammate took him down and somehow I was still flying but my plane wanted to roll to the right so i had to rip my left thumbstick to the right so hard and I still had to to fly over all the mountains and trees 1000 feet in the air and fly 2 miles to the airfield and MIRACULOUSLY I crash landed just close enough to the airfield to where I could be repaired. EDIT: I think i was rolling to the left really hard instead of me rolling to the right.
