Great explanation! I think the worst part is how demoralizing it is for the devs.. My little brother and I used to play the demo and a while later he complained about paying to play it, so I examplified what it feels like to work for free and offered to pay for him, but he was already deep into Pokemon Emerald and Loomian Legacy hahahhahaha I think if an 8-year old can understand it, it is worth it to keep explaining to people in general hahhahaha

I love reading the bad reviews that goes under *Demo* version of a game Minecraft(mobile) , Coromon and possibly all other games. It shows how much IQ most mobile gamers have, because my god i couldn't even tell if they are just children or just stupid enough to think that $5 is a greedy price. I've been in that situation too when i was a kid, back then when E-money service/apps are a thing yet and the only way to pay for a game is using a credit card. I was upset at the time but god damn i'm impressed of the little me for not being too spoiled or this angry at the game devs/company.

Coromon is one of the reasons[as well as this channel] that I've gotten back into Tamer/Mon games as much as I have as well as encouraging me to work on a fan pokemon game and my own Mon game. The devs deserve to be praised and fairly paid for such an amazing game that has given me SO MANY hours of enjoyment for an exceedingly fair[if not a little cheaper than it could be] price.

I think it’s a symptom of other earlier Monster Taming/Catching games that came out in the early days of mobile gaming. As early mobile Monster Taming/Catching games where both free and pay to win. Albeit there where some real hidden free to play gems for Monster Taming/Catching games I still have a few on my old devices now and some that are lost to the sands of time for one reason or another. Text ramblings aside it is sad to see that people want this game for free as it is a good game

Very poignantly said. For anyone still with any doubts about buying this game: 1. It is, in my opinion, one of the best Creature Catcher games on the market, next to Cassette Beasts & Monster Sanctuary. 2. It has always been a full release title on Steam & Switch. $20 was/is incredibly reasonable for the level of polish this game has, and $5 for the mobile release is even more so. 3. The mobile release & subsequent purchases are also helping contribute to current/future development (Coromon 2?). The one and only criticism I have of the game is the lack of dual-typed Coromon, but for a first outing it is phenomenal.

Widely discussed by the dev community. None of us enjoy implementing P2W or F2P games strategies. Those of us that care about our games know and hate these models for what they are. Impossible to please everyone. After a few attempts at the F2P model, I refuse to go back to it. There is no winning with it. The only companies that can get away with it are AAA with a massive fan base. I think it's fair to say that devs, especially indies deserve some monetary compensation for years of dedication for someone else's fun. A few $ for a game is nothing. A happy meal cost less for 30 minutes of bad food. IMO we are charging to little for the games on the market comparing the time you enjoy the game to other forms of entertainment. It costs my 2 kids to jump at a trampoline park for an hour $40. 1 hour of fun < Months of fun from our games.

This has been a problem in mobile gaming for a while. People just want everything to be F2P. And, when there is a F2P game that's not P2W they even criticise stupid things such as cool cosmetics being paid or something similar. I hope eventually people's mentality shifts in the right direction, there's some potential to mobile gaming if the community allows it.

I haven't looked into the mobile version since I own it on Steam, but this reminds me of when the demo was out prior to release. There were SO MANY people who thought that because they'd played the demo that they'd get the game for free on release. Like...what? When was that ever a thing? It doesn't seem to be available in the app store for my country yet, so I can't see how much it is here, but around $5 for a game with a story and isn't a crappy mobile game sounds pretty good to me. If I was more into mobile gaming, I'd absolutely buy it.

I own the version for the steam, nintendo and when it comes out in iOS ill buy it as well. I played the demo on iOS for the first time back in development and loved it. At this point i do it as support to the development team they are doing a great job and the fact that the constant updates and improvements and functions you never see other games do this. I stopped playing Nexomon because it was free to play & had all the ftp trappings. You want the stars(whatever they use in Nexomon to catch them), then watch 3 ads to get 1 or purchase 5 for $1. The nexomon will break out of 3 before you catch it, so you had to repeat that process for every encounter.

I totally agree that 5/20 is nothing to complain about. I personally have enjoyed the game so much since the mobile release. One thing that I do find a bit saddening is that some items are now behind a paywall (referring to Battle Reader vs Potential Reader). I wouldn't mind hoarding gems to be able to buy it eventually or other important items. BUT, given that the game was just 5 bucks, paying another 5 for those items seems balanced as for 10 bucks you get a pretty fulfilling game. This was a long comment - I love Orotchy
