You’re an honest guy, so sell it as an honest bike, full disclosure, and a lucky new rider will be well-chuffed. 👍❤️😎✅

That broken thread could be fixed in situ by building up weld and then re drilling, helicoil the bottom one or just re-tap. It’s not been looked after has it😂

Maybe you shouldn’t have bought it but it’s making great content. I’ve not long found your channel and really enjoying your vids keep it up pal

Top quality bodge, well done that man 😄👍👍👍

Keep the bike and let it develop, tweak it, give it a name, have some fun with it. It's good content. It'd be a shame to see it go. Target the GROM crowd with it. The 125 scene is where it begins mate.

send it to me i will look after it thats bad craic man after all the effort put in but look on the bright side you did a fantastic job

I previously had two. Easy to work on. It’s been a challenge, you’ve had good content. Offload and move on. Don’t bother trying to make it a further project. Even with full disclosure on your repairs, these still fetch good money. I’d have one again
@DGMotorcycles5 ай бұрын
Yeah been super easy to work on and I have enjoyed it to be fair. I think you’re right, a fresh MOT and move it on

You should make more videos. I check for yours all the time.

Thanks. I have a few more coming out very soon. Also just picked up a new project aswell so loads of content coming up 😀

Those engines are one of the most easy to work on. That 1/2 case is about $230 bucks in the US. Ps, when trying to reform threads use a a thread chaser die. It pushes the metal back into place without cutting any off.

Might have been a mistake buying unseen, but it's been a good little project bike, once the MOT is done I would ride for for a short time and sell it on there prob is someone who could use this for commuting to work and not too worried about the cover!

Not good but it makes. Good content , more to come please.

Crf or CBR 300 are a good engine conversion for them plenty of info about the conversion online. Engines not cheap tho
@DGMotorcycles5 ай бұрын

What's your recommended method to get wheel bearings out? I can barely get a hold of a ridge between the bearing and the inner axle spacer
@DGMotorcycles5 ай бұрын
I would try using a bearing puller. or carefully heat the hub up surrounding the bearing then tap out with a punch. hit it on both sides to push the bearing out equally. (only punch out bearings if you are swapping them as they may get damaged)

I don't understand what the major issue was. Stuff like this are standard issues with cars and motorbikes. There's a number of solutions that could have been done.

I’ve got my CBT coming up in June. Is there any 125cc bikes you can recommend for a beginner just getting into them?
@DGMotorcycles5 ай бұрын
it all depends on budget and what style you prefer. whether you want naked or sport or something different. I would recommend staying away from Chinese brands, stick with Honda or Yamaha as parts are cheap and easy had.

Did you clean the swarf out of housing after you drilled it ?
@DGMotorcycles5 ай бұрын
Yeah. Just didn’t film while the compressor was running or all of our ears and speakers would be blown 🤣🤣
@pugnboots56835 ай бұрын
build up by welding it then redrilling and tapping it. Some black paint and it will be like new again.

Yeah I think this is my best option

Surely helicoils would have been a less bad option?

But there’s nowhere to drill and put a helicoil

If you’re going to make more money via ads and subs by changing the gear case then why not.
