I would definitely like to see you try out any other characters that interest you like Havik. I know its possible to win with Sub but he is for sure holding you back as he is now. Hi Jev Im a Subzero player that left another long comment a couple of videos ago: Your main zoning tools are bf2, clone, df4 (yes Im serious), divekick, slide, and ice ball: your bf2 will counter other projectiles, whilst you can summon clone to tank a hit (though it can be unreliable), you can hit df4 and slow your opponent, then duck, jump, or block depending on what option they choose. For projectiles you crouch you can slide, but slide start up has standing frames in this game; so it can't be used on reaction like MK11 with close spacing. Instant air divekick after you avoid a fireball with neutral jump will allow a combo follow up with 12 or f12 or s3 into ex df4 for a full combo with meter, slide ender without. Ex ice ball is more of a read tool now at -39f, its usually thrown after you crouch, or when they start jumping. You do wavedashes into combo starter of your choice or slide from full screen if you can't. tldr anti-fireballing is more reliant on bf2 and clone play than just throwing ice balls

My favorite part, 10:11 … Jev calls upon the power and intensity of REQUIS’ diaphragm (which has abs on it) to command Sub Zero to “HIIIIITTTTT HIIIMMMMMM!!!!” with his ultimate attack/combo. REQUIS willed the attack to land, and if REQUIS wills it, then it becomes reality.. Definitely a high IQ play. Can’t help but have respect for it.

Sub Zero the best in the game. If they jump.. Ice Clone, If they knock you down.. Ice Clone, If they zone you.. Ice Clone + slide/projectile, If you want to apply pressure.. Crouch punch into ICE CLONE.

You need to play to Subs strengths, that 27 frame overhead needs to be used less frequently, it’s pretty reactable, so don’t use it for mix ups, subs 2,1 is great which you rarely use,natural frames on the first it with plenty of range, and space out with his f12. Use that lao hat to end combos too instead of slide to set up your next combos.

You can avoid smokes f4 (move with the 3 kicks) with just neutral ducking its a high. Same with raiden's f3 if you wanna predict that he will do f3 just neutral duck
