Great intro video for that newer rider(s). About the tools that snap on to the belt cover. I'd strongly advise that they be placed in a mini tool pouch & placed either in a Glovebox, Handlebar bag, Tunnel Bag, etc... They have been known for falling off or not placed securely & get caught up in the Clutches.

Thanks for the tips!, I can see how that could be an issue for sure and could lead to a bad day if the run through the clutches. Dino

Thanks for a well done review on the Skidoo. I found it very interesting and information also. Due to some personal heath issues I took a 4 year brake from sledding. Returning to the sport this year, your review helped me get reacquainted with my 2017 Skidoo 900 Ace Blizzard.

Thank you for the comment and I am happy you are returning to the sport. I am also glad that my video was helpful, as a past sledder I am sure it was more of a refresher than a revolution but it still amazes me how fast the sled are changing each model year. Have fun this season and enjoy putting miles on the track. Dino

Excellent review. Super helpful, particularly in light of the different technology of these newer rigs vs those old dawgs we rode (and likely will ride on occasion).

Great video and exactly the sled I’d like to get next. Still riding an ‘09 MXZ eTec 600, which gets pretty good fuel economy, but I’d like to go 4 stroke and the 900 ace is what I’m after.

I really like mine, it is smooth, quite and with the air ride you can cover hundreds of Km per day in comfort. Not having to buy oil is also a great advantage. Thanks for the comment Dino

great content - especially the part about belt removal and deflection ... do you plan to do another video on optimizing belt deflections and the steps to achieve it?
@DinosTinkerShed3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I do have a video out on setting belt deflection already, it is a basic set up and only covers how to set up the belt as per the manual. More advanced alignment or how to shim for clutch alignment is not covered in it. Dino

Sir, I have heard of folks premixing the oil with gas, just to be on the safe side. There is no way of knowing for sure a 07 500 Ski-Doo is getting direct oil.
@DinosTinkerShed Жыл бұрын
Its not a bad Idea if you can not verify you are getting oil to pre mix. Dino

I have a 07 Ski Doo. How do I know if it is getting oil to the gas. My lines are dry
@DinosTinkerShed Жыл бұрын
Boy oh boy, you should be able to see the oil in the lines. You could try and make up a gallon of pre mixed fuel and run the sled on that then you could pull off the oil lines to ensure oil is flowing. Dino

@@michaelmaurer1226 and your sure it's a 550? Just checked the service manual and the 550 is a fan cooled unit. Are there heat exchangers above the track mounted to the underside of the tunnel?
