@doxivtuber I have the theory that the perfomers represent different personality disorders. Anxiety(pomni), fear(kingler), selfishness(jax), anger(kaufmo), etc. What if the headset was a technology that was supposed to help cure ppl of their debilitating personality disorders. Strap it on and instantly feel relief from your crippling issue. BUT what if the tech takes those negative aspects of your mind away and dumps them into the circus? That's why they have no memory. Also, it would lend itself to making the existential horror even worse because even with a route back to the real world, they've nowhere to go. 😱🙂 Interesting things I've spotted. * Before the introduction song Caine mentioned "paraphernalia" that "we" would be seeing. That implies objects/items/things and yet what we end up watching is the trapped performers... * When Caines watch detected a player in the Void, he said "oh no, they'll be *spoiled*". That's a word used for perishable goods/food/products..... * When Jax said "she still thinks it's a dream", he was not talking to Ragatha. He was breaking the forth wall and talking to us.... * The adventures aren't dangerous, but Kaufmo's abstracted form was as Zoobles fate barely bothered them but Kaufmo's was seen as a real danger. Re- Jax's reaction to the adventure compared to Kaufmo. *Caine isnt all-seeing because he had no idea what was going on to his circus or players, even abstraction, until Pomni entered the void. Then he still didnt know himself, his wacky watch alarm had to alert him. *Caine barely knows anything about the real world.... " *Drown* in the digital Lake,..... *ridery* at the digital fair" hint at that. If that's so how did he know what offices in the real world looks like? Maybe through the cameras in the place where the headset and computer are sitting? That also explains why the exit maze has "A" computer office room but is not "THE" computer office room. I dont think they are the same because Caine's had no windows or natural light but the one we come out of at the end has natural light streaming across the wall. * Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔 Thoughts on "sad and weak" Gangle. With Gangle's masks. They both look fragile, and the comedy mask did break after a small drop.( in a little extra from Gooseworx, we see Gangle looking in a mirror with broken comedy masks all over the walls.) But when she was dragged into the Gloink hole her sad mask smashed into the ground, hard, but didn't even get a blemish on it. That implies that her "smile" is so very thin yes.... but that her core, and yes sad, self is a lot tougher than she looks. 🤔..😥💪...🤔 Ok that's some of the stuff ive picked up on. Could it be meaningful or could mean nothing 😅

I still don't understand why people hate Pomni for running. It's very simple. Pomni doesn't know Ragatha. Something has happened to her that she doesn't understand. This thing that has happened to Ragatha is able to spread to Pomni through contact. There's a very angry and violent monster ten feet away, which will do the same to her if she's not fast enough. And one last cherry on the sundae, Ragatha is twice Pomni's size. Pomni would never be able to get away if she helped Ragatha. Ragatha cannot stand on her own, so if Pomni wanted to move her the rag doll would have to be picked up. This would increase contact all over Pomni's arms and torso, also potentially her face because of the way Ragatha's body glitches all over the face. Even if Pomni could do it, even if Ragatha wasn't so heavy for Pomni that she'd get caught, the glitch would infect her and they'd both be unable to do anything. Pomni needs to get Caine. Even if Jax made it out, he doesn't know what has happened to Ragatha. Even if he's going to get help, he doesn't necessarily know what has happened. Pomni doesn't know if this is a "bleeding out" kind of situation. As it turns out, Jax is not going to get help, so if the events continued with Pomni glitched, it would be potentially hours later when Caine stopped goofing off and happened upon the carnage left over. Beyond everything else, Pomni immediately went back for her, a complete stranger, the minute the dangerous creature had ran off. There's no issue no matter how you cut it.

Throwing on to that pile also that, even factoring in the time taken to get to Kaufmo's room, Pomni's still only really been in this madhouse for, at maximum, 20 minutes. That combined with the really ridiculous situation she's been thrown into that she still hasn't processed, of course she isn't attached to anyone at the circus, let alone Ragatha. Also her questioning the "adventures" and bluntly asking why they don't just look for a way out hints that she doesn't think particularly highly of anyone there yet. Not to mention, as you said, she did go back to check on Ragatha, and put in a good effort to find Caine before the EXIT door appeared, so it's not like she's heartless.

I believe in an interview, the creator of this show said that Caine is not a villain, but he is an antagonist. As a wacky AI, he doesn't understand the nuances of humanity, so he does stuff that hurts the human characters. He's not malicious, he just doesn't know better and does the bad stuff due to AI being unable to meet the same level as a human.

My take on Caine is that hes not really a vilain and does want to help, but since hes an AI, he doesnt have a clue how to get people out or what the outside world even is. The trick would be talking to Caine like he was an AI. He probably has control over and knows what VRAM is and the speaker system, as well as the base memory. Then its just a case of doing a buffer overflow to give him control of the system kernel and see where you can go from there. If anything they'd at least have access to the internet at that point and have very little chance of abstracting out of boredom since their lives would be mostly normal at that point.

Personally I think that the most horrific option is that there is no audience. If there were an audience, you would at least fulfill a role similar to an actor, even if it were against your will. Imagine it- you've been trapped forever in an abandoned, meaningless world. There's no hope of escape or of rescue, and there's no good reason why you're here. There's not even comfort in the idea that someone, somewhere is at least gaining somwthing from this. Nothing you do anymore will ever have any lasting effect on anything other than the handful of other people who share your same fate. You don't even need to do things like eating, drinking, or sleeping anymore. The only thing to do is pass the time in any way possible, maybe for the rest of eternity. You can't even kill yourself- death isn't programmed into this game. The closest you can do is experiencing pain. Even if you completely go insane and abstract, it isn't the end. All that happens is that Caine puts you in the basement, so now you have to spend eternity in pitch darkness, with literally nothing to do, somehow an even worse fate that's constantly hanging over your head. Given enough time, you know it'll eventually happen to you. And then you'll never see anything again except other abstractions getting thrown in there with you, until, presumably, hopefully, the computer you're on gets destroyed, deleting you forever.

Here's 2 theories I came up with from watching this reaction: There's a character we see but don't get introduced to: the mannequin on the door in the hallway Pomni amd Ragatha walk-through, wee see again when Pomni is opening random doors and he's bathing. The mannequin is Able: Cain is an exaggerated character the a top hat, suit and tie, with no "head" or "face" but has eyes and a mouth. Completely suited up with shoes and gloves to boot leads me to believe that he has no body. While the mannequin has a body but no features or clothing of any kind, even when he had his "jumpscare" in the bathroom, the red mask/face had no eyes or teeth. The complete opposite of Cain.

Im not sure about jax, but I think Kinger might have been a developper/beta tester as he constantly references insects collections (aka bugs) and he's been there way longer than everyone else.He probably is the one that is mostly likely to know what actually happens but since hes a bit a loopy at this point, he cant quite express it in a way people understand. I might be reaching here but what if Able is the greater programming (or creator) that keeps everyone there and keeps Caine from developing further than just the host, so Caine will have to override (kill) Able to gain the ability of creating a functioning exit (which might kill him too bc he has no purpose without guests to host and create adventures for)
