🗻 My first ever mountain bivi night on a Munro with the ultralight Alpkit Kloke bivvy bag; Join Kev and I for a moonlit night hike up Ben Wyvis (1046m) in the Highlands of Scotland. After hiking up through the cloud we were treated to amazing conditions both night and day. 👌🏼

I love a bivvy camp and have fond memories of that being my setup in Canada many moons ago. It's a wee bit of an experience waking up under the snow let me tell you. Night nav is brilliant fun and with conditions like that you can't go wrong. Great stuff and good to see Kev doing the ol' tarp setup too.

Cheers Bryan, I'll definitely do another bivvy. I wasn't looking forward to it as I do like to spread out my gear inside the tent but it worked out fine. A sheet or peice of foam makes the difference for getting in and out of the bag.

Robin, hate those 🦟 though the 🐸 were way cool. Definitely one of the coolest things about the bivy is being able to stare straight up at the night sky🌟 whilst being warm and snug👍 A beautiful morning above the inversion in the sunlight☀ and a really cool adventure👍

Bivi camping is the best Take a small Alpkit tarp and you have almost total protection from the rain Well done

@@WalkWithWallace I did a night hike up mount batur volcano before I really started hiking …. Was convinced I was going to die half way up 😂😂 I was so unfit back then!! But yeah the same …. It just felt never ending because we couldn’t see how far up we were getting … always worth it though!

Looks a great adventure mate. Kev "if you get lonely during the night" 🤣🤣🤣. It looked nice and calm up the top, I have not been on a summit without it blowing a hoolie for ages. I am preferring the pump bag to the tiny pump now. Do you not think the pump does not get the pad firm enough.

Glad you enjoyed the Bivvy and night hike Robin, shooting stars a lovely dawn plus an inversion too, you canny beat it, I've been doing a lot of night cycling this year too, due to the hot weather, sleeping during the day and travelling at night, it's worked out great for me, 1500 miles in the saddle so far this year, next year I plan to do the Cape Wrath (bike trail) canny wait... ATB Guys.

Cheers mucker, that sounds like a plan and a half. 👌🏼 1500 miles sounds like a decent shift over the peice. Ironically I did a lot of night cycling during lockdown, it was brilliant as the roads were dead. The headtorch you see me use in this vid was bought for the night rides, came with a helmet mount too.

Keep on exploring Robin.🤙If I get to 2000 miles I'll be a happy bunny, 2500 is the target though, before winter arrives. 😀But 1500 miles isn't too shabby in 3-4 short months, it's really just about finding the time, although I can't complain because it's been quite epic at times and injury free. 👍

I've never done a bivi - not sure it's for me. If it was warm enough I'd be worried about midgies or something crawling on me in the night! I like having a built-in groundsheet. Nice to see the Perseids though.

Once you were set up and laid out it did look comfortable assuming the midge had flown off and you got a dry night. The 05.30 morning views were great but the undercrakers shots were horrific 😖. Cheers Jim. 😁 Tbh I don't have much bivvy experience to compare it against, however that's twice I've used it, first time under a tarp in sub zero temps and on this trip. Seems decent to me. Weighs very little and packs down to nothing, fairly breathable too.
