Bought my Pure Stage 1 turbo, but otherwise stock e92, for a little under 11k with 109k miles. It had clean maintenance records and all gaskets done. There’s no shot your car was worth less than 20k. Clapped high mileage single turbo builds were usually around 15k in my area but didn’t have anywhere near the aesthetic yours had.

Yeah not sure I can understand building up something then just getting rid of it; esp to get something very similar. I mean at the end of they day they're still BMW turbo 6's, all very similar to the N54. But, to each his own I guess; I ca'nt imagine how much money you will have wasted. Because when you build something up to a certain point, you start to lose interest at least for me. I said what I said because I genuinely felt like I was always going to be in the n54 platform so that's why I broke the chain and went the F series. It's all the same stuff at the end of the day like you said
