Just in case you're still interested, Tudor actually does make their rubber straps in a smaller size (it costs around $200 CAD,). It helps keep the watch case and clasp in the middle of your wrist. The piece at 6 o'clock is shorter, which kinda nudges the case to sit more in the center. Hope this helps someone!

I acquired about this at the AD when purchasing my BB54 and they actually swapped out the band to the smaller size for free. Had to wait about a month for it but very happy now! After owning it and wearing every day for three months my only gripe is that the minute track can look too short sometimes and that looks awkward. The 54 was ideal on your wrist Sanjay. If you're ok with the aluminum insert (and am not) then you will regret selling it, sooner or later. It has quick release for easy strap/bracelet changes, lugs that curve down and hug the wrist, beautiful and thin case shape, has different OEM strap options, allows engraving, has micro adjust on the bracelet and has its own unique design language that is not a Rolex derivative or heritage design. While everyone is debating BB54 vs. BB58 I'm super happy with my CW. Also nice is that the CW costs 1/4 of the price of the Tudor.

I bought the watch on bracelet, and want to order the OEM rubber strap for it. Unfortunately none of my ADs have a rubber version in stock for me to try on, and for them to order it I have to pay in full. I have no issue with this, but I am worried about the fitment of the rubber and at the price point they quoted me (£550) I just want to make sure before ordering it. Since I have a similar size wrist to yourself, I was wondering if you could help me with a few questions regarding the strap, if you don’t mind. Firstly, after you cut the rubber to size, did this leave any additional rubber that could be cut in the future? Secondly, were you still able to make full use of the T-fit? ie. could you adjust it to make it tighter or looser. This is my main concern, since on the bracelet, I’m in between sizes. So after initially sizing it, the T-fit had to be on the maximum notch which meant I could not adjust it to make it looser for when my wrist swelled. If I added a link, then the T-fit had to be on the minimum notch, which meant I was unable to make it tighter for when my wrist shrunk. The only solution to this, is the Uncle Seiko half link which fixed the problem. Unfortunately there would be no solution with the rubber if this were the case for me. Finally, on the wrist, did you find the watch sliding toward the 12 o Clock side? I have the P39 and when I wear it on rubber it doesn’t sit on the middle of my wrist properly. It has a tendency to slide toward the 12 o Clock side, which is annoying and I have to keep readjusting it.

@MrCROBosanceros Жыл бұрын
The 62MAS is better in what? The latest Seiko 62MAS SJE is a total rip-off. It's got 6L37 movement instead of 8L35 movement. It is all a personal choice. Tudor Black Bay 54 is a re-creation of the first diver Rolex or Tudor watches of the 1950s and Seiko is a re-creation of diver watches of the 1960s.

62mas over bb.. not so many in the wild
@mathewazzopard8100 Жыл бұрын
For which 62mas are referring ? Sbdc101 aka spb 14xx ? If yes, great case (wear small) slightly taller than it should, dlc coated bezel which is not the best and a bad bracelet with pins and collars with a horrible buckle. A driver's extension made out of cheap metal which is located at the most awkward place making the fitting of the watch bad. Not to mention you need to go through hell to remove it. The 6r35 may have 70h pr(according to Seiko - I can't verify cos I haven't tested) and with an accuracy -10/+25 sec !!! Mine gave me +20 from day one. They never take the time to regulate them . The sbdc053 with 50h pr had issues with the mainspring, had to replace and regulate and yes now it's at -2 sec @ 24h but after going through all that, a letdown. If any of these two apply to the comparison with the Tudor, they ain't half as good.

Not a fan of this Rolex directive that all Black Bay must have snow flake hands and can't use Mercedes hands nor use the Submariner name two things that are very much part of Tudor heritage. The bb 41mm was a bit too thick, the 58 was better , but not for big wrists, and the 54 doesnt wear much different lug to lug than the 58 ? Just design the watch decide on the thickness , and offer it in 3 sizes ? Then everyone is happy ? They could easily do a bracelet and a rubber strap as a standard offering too.
