I don't mind the date at 4:30, I even like this position. But why is it at 4:40? It's such an eyesore!

4:49 hi, I just want to say that I got my SBGN029 on 18dec2024 from Ginza Wako store and I confirmed mine do not have the ripple dial. I believe GS has fixed the issue

So funny that you directly compared the BB58 to this. I just sold my BB58 and I am eyeing the PO 39.5 as my next acquisition to take its place. Thanks for the comprehensive review!

I keep waffling between a used bb58 or 54 or following my heart for this. They all meet my vintage look I enjoy. Such a romantic time for divers

I want the green dial, unfortunately only in 40mm , i am probably going to buy that but hopefully i like it. I would have preferred the 37mm

The dark blue with the bracelet is a good combo, and the seconds hand stands out nicely. Very handsome. This older clasp might be better than the newer “seatbelt” as you’re getting micro adjustments with the previous version. Solid review.

I like the Planet Ocean and the Speedmaster, but even the smaller versions look too bulky. Especially the thickness is quite big. I have a Longines Legend Diver 36mm, and it works great with a shirt or a suit. It is small and thin, can be considered a dress diver. But wearing an Omega under a shirt would look weird around the cuff. I hope Omega will consider smaller and thinner versions of watches in the future. I feel that the era of the oversized watches is gone. Smaller watches somewhat look more classy.

Been looking at this for a while and it's so tempting. However, I'm also looking at GS GMTs for my job field, but none of them have the same aesthetic that this one has. Hard decisions.

I really like the look of this watch but because of the movement I'm not sure if I should just buy an entry level gs or a pro pilot Kermit instead..

It’s really a 40.5mm watch. It’s the exact same size of the sub. Omega only measures the bezel for this particular model. With that being said a 39-41mm watch looks perfect on many wrists well above 7in. Probably should be the seamaster they push since it’s the best size for most wrists, not necessarily small wrists.

Beautiful watch! Are you selling it by any chance?
@SkyWolfSkydiveАй бұрын
Nothing to look at? I can see that awesome balance wheel, hairspray, and escapement, what else do you want? Besides they have to save a little bit of money somewhere to offer you a second strap which very very few watch companies do.

I wonder how does the case finishing compare to something like a longines master collection

Hello there, I wanted to express my appreciation for your informative video about the Omega Planet Ocean watch. It was a pleasure to watch and learn more about this remarkable timepiece. Although I currently own a Seiko LX titanium spring drive watch, which I must say has exceptional accuracy, I was particularly intrigued by the anti-magnetic properties of the Omega Planet Ocean. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights about this watch on KZbin. As for me, I will always keep my five-year-old Omega Seamaster Chronometer. It's a great watch as well.

Many thanks for sharing - very valuable info as I search for my first GS. I have 6.25in wrist and am considering of this one. I just don't understand why GS doesn't include screw down crown on these; the case is thick enough. Now that you've had it a few months, I wonder how accurate is the 9S64 is? Thanks again!

Maybe it's just that I'm old, ornery, and cynical, (but I don't think it's the case here), but it SEEMS like, in days gone by (30+ years ago), when companies were selling a "premium" or "luxury" product, it was not common to "cheap out" on quality. Theoretically, I would not have a problem spending $4,600 (SRP) on THIS Seiko however, there is absolutely no damn reason (at this price) why this watch doesn't have either a ceramic bezel OR come on a (decent) bracelet. RE: The Marine Master 300, I'm sure someone will fact check me however, I have read that, unlike the SLA 055/057, the crown tube assembly of the Marine Master 300 is not repairable. At best, you'd have to hope that Seiko will replace the entire case.........and heaven only knows how many millions of dollars Seiko would hit their customers up for.............IF they'll even do it. IF I am correct about the crown tube assembly on the MM300, that is a travesty of poor design on a +$3,000 watch.
