When you do enough sales on GOAT, you no longer have to take the pictures and can post or sell them immediately. I know taking the pics can be a hassle, but it’s like you said: it’s adding a bit more security. If they spot something wrong immediately, then it saves everyone’s time of having them bought and then being found out when it makes it to GOAT. 👌🏻

As far as buyers, Ebay is the best spot, why? No processing fee ;) They also use leaders of sneakercon to check the shoe, you know they ain't failing. Also you don't have to pay shipping if the seller lists as free shipping.

Btw, for Goat, instead of transferring your Goat credit to PayPal and paying a 3.9% fee, opt for direct deposit into your bank account because the fee is 2.9%. Doesn’t seem like much, but depending on how many shoes you sell, that’s a meal’s worth of money.

NOTE TO ANYBODY NEW TO GOAT: Start with one post! Sh*t can be discouraging if you take a whole afternoon taking pics only to be told that your item isn't accepted. Make sure you understand all the options & picture angles. Don't 'Pick' defective if your shoes is used or yellowed from wear because they will ask for EXTRA PICS of the actual 'DEFECT'. Once a post is made, it is hard to edit through the app. There seems to be a glitch when adding new photos. (There is a way around it, but its a head-breaker for new users) Took me a good week to understand the process. All said and done, GOAT seems pretty DOPE!

I’ve bought three different shoes on eBay and what I noticed is that all shoes were sent to New York to be authenticated. So depending on where your shoes are shipping from, the delivery time will vary.

eBay's authentication service is through SneakerCon, and unfortunatley they only have 1 location which is in New York, hopefully the new deal will help expand SneakerCon to the rest of the U.S.

I think I would use GOAT more if you didn't have to take pictures when you're selling the shoe. With StockX all you have to do is print the label, put it in the shoe box, and put the shoe box in a shipping box. Usually if I have a shoe that I'm selling I don't even take it out of the box. So it's nice to be able to just slip a piece of paper in the box and not have to worry about getting anything on my hands on the shoe or any hair or dirt on the floor on the shoe when I'm taking pictures. But... it is nice that you can sell used shoes on GOAT so that is a plus. I really enjoyed the selling and buying comparisons in the videos!

Fun fact. For GOAT, if you sold a lot of authenticated shoes, you can actually put up new shoes for sale without pictures and they call you a trusted seller. I do it all the time because I am one with them 😁

@@sirhardinero2608 I did enough to fund the hobby and I learned quite a bit. StockX/GOAT/Ebay is a good way to sell your sneakers quickly if you need the money back but you waste a lot of your potential profit on fees and undercutters. The way to go really is to find your local sneaker shops and do consignment through them, meaning your provide them your sneakers for them to sell. They typically charge 20% off the actual sale but since sneaker shops generally charge more, you will still have a large profit than online sales. They also don't typically issue you tax forms like Paypal so do with that what you will.

Living in SoCal we have two Goat locations that receive pairs for authentication so payout is 24 orders from the day you ship them (90% of the time) somethings they get backed up but customer service is top notch . Yo. That’s the best part of selling sneakers on eBay. Not sure why people still sell on stock or goat. Right now I just sold a pair of sneakers for $650 plus shipping on eBay , total was 673.95 shipped and pay out was $672.85. Why .30 cent difference ? Because eBay now has managed payment where they do the processing of the funds and they send it your bank acct. the fee is .30 cent and then they refund you the .30 cent. For a seller , it’s the best thing in the world. You make more money on eBay. EBAY IS PARTNERED WITH MR. F AND STADIUM RIGHT? I need those rust pink.

No they don't. Only until the sneakercon verifies the shoe and ships it to the buyer, and then shortly after their money unlocks, or at least until it says delivered to the buyer. So about 7-10 business days.

After a few successful transactions the process goes how you explained, but when I made my first couple of sales on eBay the payment hold was not lifted at delivery, but after the 21 day period. It’s nice once you have a couple positive transactions, but brand new sellers on eBay will face that challenge. (Unless they have changed their new seller policy within the past 2 months)

Buying of course is a different story, but again, eBays authentication timeline still lacks compared to GOAT, which is understandable considering their authenticity guarantee is a new feature. I sold a shoe the 2nd week of March that sat in the authentication location for over a week before it was verified authentic, and I still don’t have access to the revenue from that sale because it has not been delivered yet. Comparatively, I sold a pair of the same shoe to GOAT on march 29th, the package arrived at their location within 2 days and were authenticated before the end of the day on the 31st, allowing me to access the money on that day (GOAT doesn’t require you to wait for the item to ship before you can cash out earnings). Again, it’s like comparing apples to oranges, but eBay still has a long way to go. And yes I understand some orders take longer than others depending on shipping service and location, which means some people have likely had very positive experiences selling and buying on eBay. I’m just explaining things that I have experienced.

Great video on the process! Seth mentioned money being available immediately once the buyer pays on Ebay. However, it still took a couple business days to get the money transferred to my bank account. Used to be instant when Ebay allowed for payouts via PayPal but looks like that has stopped recently. This is just my personal experience so not sure if it's been different for others.

There's really too many variables all over the place to determine which service is best. I sold two pairs via StockX over the weekend, dropped them off at a UPS store in the Seattle area on Monday morning, and by Tuesday morning they were at the StockX facility in Portland. Got paid for one pair later that day and next day for the second pair. But I think the Portland facility is fairly new, and in the past it would have taken longer for them to get my shoes, so geography and number of facilities each service has play a big part.

I’m starting to wonder if eBay is doing the same stuff stock x does. Three weeks after buying a pair of dark mochas the contact seller option is still disabled. I thought that was super weird. These days EBay authenticates any Nike or Adidas over $100. Buying there, I have had pairs delayed at the authenticator and had a pair damaged as they did not use the sellers packing material and just chucked them in an oversized box with no packing materials leading them to heavily scuff in their trip to me. They did refund for that pair but still don’t pack other pairs I have bought very well.

Idk Goat has that extra processing fee when you take the money that in itself is a major con for me when making the most money. StockX definitely takes a while if you don’t want to just offload your shoe for the low. Their fees are similar to goat minus the extra payout fee. eBay also authenticates used shoes now which is a plus for me. Still not charging seller fees above $100 and not charging authentication fees yet either.

You must sell a lot on eBay. When I sell sneakers on eBay, it takes 3 weeks to get my payout. Last few times I had to call after the payout date because I still hadn’t received it. Customer service is horrible as well.

On eBay, a buyer with an address set as PO box will not go through eBay authentication program. It will go directly to the buyer. I got scammed from a buyer with this method. This can be from in eBay’s terms and conditions.

I'm wondering what is the threshold of factory defect since the QC is sometimes shit. I don't wanna pay the penalty for a stupid flaw since I live outside of the US. Hope they don't judge the shoes by sniffing at them. Glue smell won't last on a sitting pair.

I’m confused on how offers work. So I put down an offer on a shoe. I go check the last sale’ and I see a whole bunch of sales made on the same size same offer I made. What is going on ? Am I doing something wrong ? Why am I the only one not getting accepted for that offer and everyone else is ?

Problem With Your EBay Money Received Review - you actually have not answered the question of how quickly do you get paid. Here’s why. If you have sold a lot on eBay or sold for so many weeks eventually eBay starts paying you immediately after you sell your item. That is of course why you were paid immediately. There are plenty of people who have not sold enough or long enough on eBay. Due to this, they do not get paid immediately. They don’t get paid until the buyer receives the item. In this case it would’ve been many days after the sale, what close to two weeks, before the seller would’ve been paid. Here’s my other question. With the sneakers and eBay if you are a seller who does not get paid immediately do you get paid after the authentication of the sneaker or do you not get paid until the buyer receives the sneaker? That’s going to be a pretty big difference of how soon the seller gets paid. Do you know the answers to those questions? Would you go through the process again but use somebody else’s eBay account who has just started selling on eBay or really hasn’t sold very much so they are not paid instantly. It would be interesting to see how long it takes for that type of seller to get paid. Edit- The reason I bring this up is because you will have people watch this video and decide to use eBay because there’s no fees and they are paid immediately according to you. They’re going to be a new seller on eBay and will be very confused when they are not paid instantly after the sale. I do realize a good number of people who watch you sell a lot on eBay and other places so they now get paid instantly on eBay. However, there are also people who are new to reselling sneakers and more new people come in every day to the sneaker game, it seems like.

Ebay has the highest fees. They charge 10% selling fee and paypal takes 2.9%. Ebay and paypal both take a cut for their taxes which is 2.5% each. Total I calculated ~18% which is super high.

No eBay does not charge anything for shoes sold over 100 dollars as of now. This may change in the future but as of now there is no fee for selling any shoe new or used on eBay over $100.

I am currently going through a lost package I sold with goat and my package was actually scanned but I don't have the actual psysical drop off receipt even though I have on the UPS app, it's stating that the package was in fact dropped off and they still are giving me an extremely hard time and basically told me to go %@=% myself GOAT is horrible! Many postal places don't even provide drop off receipts and they definitely don't make this a requirement in the literature when they tell you to drop off your package.. Seller beware!! I have a perfect seller rating and purchase history from them and still gets screwed over for almost $500 even though on my ups app it says the claim was approved

But if you sell on goat for some high value sneakers. The will based on your credit. And stockX had a high lux fee if over $800.

With eBay you do get a instant payout but it won’t be available until the buyer receives the shoes.With my experience it took almost 2weeks

How do you get a higher tier account on stock x? When you pay-out from stock x or goat do you have to use paypal, or can you just pay-out on to your bank account? 13:50 that hoodie is awesome

Stockx pays me directly to my bank account, but you have to verify your entity with a debit or credit card first.
