@@BrakusJPS Becoming aware of it is the first step, i do suggest you hold down the heal button on your allies all the way until they are at least in a good state, you can always recharge your resources later by throwing a damage orb or simply sucking at the enemy One tip for faster recharging is to repeatedly tap the enemy instead of just holding it down, the rate of recharge increases by a lot if you do it right Best of luck on your journey!

I’m the guy that sent in the VOD! It is awesome that you did this. In my defense, and in my team’s defense that game, we got along great. Our team really did bond together and I believe we put up a good fight. It’s just, I was so puzzled about what I did wrong, and what we did wrong as a team because this match was certainly winnable. Also I don't play Moira as much as I do Ana, Bap, and Zen these days. I hadn't played Moira in comp in a while and I wanted to see how good (or how bad) my Moira was. Yeah, I'm not good (but I'm not that bad). I actually did learn a lot from this video specifically, not to heal the floor and the payload so much. I had a great time hearing you roast my Moira, and seeing all the roasting I was getting in chat. I well deserved all the roasting and made fun of. With this, I am hoping that I can climb out of gold eventually on Moira and other heroes. Thanks again for your tremendous help and your hilarious ribbing.

As a Moira main myself the thing is it’s okay to save ur heals but if u see ur tank/support/dps very low it’s good to top them up even if it effects ur resources once tank is healed 1 or 2 damage orbs will fill ur heal gauge back to full in no time and to maximise ur ult throw and orb before ulting to get the most out of it

I am a masters moira main, and watching you just clicking healing over and over instead of holding it down drove me crazy lol. Please just hold it down. Dps to refill it very quickly. Eventually, you'll be able to do both efficiently, to where you can basically never run out of healing. Keeping it full is the right idea, but its pointless if you don't use it when you need to. And please... just hold the button down.. Her heal recharges super fast. It's okay to use it. And oh god please... dont just hang out behind their team. Falling off the map to get back to your team is preferable than what you did in this. You literally did nothing for like 2 minutes straight. You need to stay with your team. BEHIND your team 95% of the time. Also your ults literally did nothing.

As a tank main this killed me. That poor zarya was at half hp or less the entire game. "I did all the damage" because you never healed. 20000 damage means nothing when you have 2000 healing. What is with the burst healing? In 8 years of this game i have never seen a Moira do that. Using orb on cooldown is fine but often the wrong one was used. How this person blamed their team i will not understand. That first round second point would've had me screaming at the moira in vc.

It’s just a lack of awareness. Very few times did they stop to look around and check their team’s HP. If they’re oblivious to their team’s actions, that’s probably why they feel like they carried. I had to learn this the hard way on tank. Yeah my job is to make space, but if my backline’s getting fondled, that space means nothing.

Your tank should not have to wait for the support passive to kick in every time they need heals

I think it's really helpful to at least have a small friend group to play with sometimes. They'll help keep your head on your shoulders. Like kids play of the game, they thought that because they got poggers that it was their sole win. I rarely get play of the game as a support main, but when my teammates get play of the game they're quick to point out when it was completely facilitated by another teammate. Then you start to see that thesr amazing plays that result in multiple kills and PoG usually don't happen in a vacuum.

Instead of looking at pure win rate of each hero, balance team needs to look at the win rate each person has on their most played heroes. If the same person has a 70% win rate on Moira and a 30% win rate on every other support, Moira is overtuned. This would be a much better metric than straight win %.

disagree. individual skill is a bad metric of a hero's strength. there are people who specialize in 1-2 heroes so their win rate will be substantially higher on those heroes than the others. non-mirrored win rate is the only reasonable way of objectively measuring the strength of the heroes.

I'm sure it would be probative and helpful to a certain extent, but I don't think it would tell the full story on its own. let's use Moira as an example. she is designed to be accessible. her kit is simple, and she doesn't require precision aim. you can be brand new to fps games, select her, and start getting base value quickly. we know she has a high win rate especially in lower ranks, but we can't look at the win rate and say "she's overtuned" because we also need to ask why other heroes don't have as high a win rate in the same rank, and that is a more nuanced question. in gold, I am sure Moira has a higher win rate than Lucio, but why is that the case? it's because Lucio's kit generates value from its effect on the Lucio's team, i.e., Lucio will have a higher win rate in ranks where team coordination happens consistently. Lucio's win rate will be higher in higher ranks. that doesn't mean Lucio is over or under tuned. it means that he provides more value when teams consistently understand how to play with a Lucio and benefit from that kit. Moira's kit is simpler and intuitive, so although she can be valuable in higher ranks, she will be consistently strong in lower ranks. again, it doesn't mean she's too strong or not strong enough. it's the fact that generating value on Moira is easier to master. I would be interested in hearing your perspective on how relative win rate would be significant but I'm just not seeing it, given the complexities. looking at which heroes win and taking the variable of individual skill out of the equation seems so much more compelling and reliable to me. I'm not going to apologize for writing a long comment :) sorry if it's too dense for you, I know some people on KZbin struggle to read longer text

To whoever said you can't improve from that, I have been a Silver player about a year ago, with similiar plays as that Moira did and just generally being too agressive when I shouldn't have been (often after getting elims) or too passive when I should have pushed with my tank. I've recently managed to get into top 500. Granted I couldn't hold it and am bouncing back and forth, but there's a lot of nuances you can learn from watching replays and the more you do, the more you learn for future matches. Everyone can massively improve in this game if you're willing to learn. I sometimes have potato aim, but it doesn't matter cause game sense, map knowledge, impulse control and ult management are extremely important factors that can push you really, REALLY high in competitive games.

Honestly, if that Moira is upper Gold/low Plat than she is ranked too high. Sorry, but that gameplay is literally WORSE than what I'd expect from a first time Moira player in QP. (and I play a LOT of QP) Heals go randomly into thin air instead of the team. If at least those would HIT their target... but throwing heals away of course result in no heal left when it's needed. Once those random useless heals are gone and they play more WITH their team instead of somewhere on the other side of the enemies than they could get better but not like this :(

I have ADHD so concentration issues are my specialty lol so, concentration isn't a simple thing. your ability to concentrate and focus on a task and see it to completion is a product of both your decision to stick with that task and your brain chemistry. my ADHD is not a personal failing. it's not that I lack willpower. it's that my brain is not consistently making the chemical environment that lets me lock in like most people's brains do. however, that doesn't mean that concentration is wholly out of your control. for example, something I do that gives my brain a better opportunity to focus is I eliminate distractions. distractions can be environmental factors like if there's a distracting noise or if my phone isn't on do not disturb. distractions can also be hunger or thirst or if my face isn't clean. getting more in tune with yourself and your environment so you can identify distractions/potential distractions is a very good way to spend time and effort. an easy way to start is just with the basics - is there noise that's distracting you? or is the silence annoying, so maybe it would help to find some good background noise. is it too bright or too dark? have you eaten recently? eating is huge for focus lol even just a tiny snack can help so much
