Reminded me of the first time I played Widowmaker and I was like "This sniper rifle sucks, wtf" Or my first game as Lucio when I didn't know he could wallride or what crossfade does so I was shooting enemies and teammates hoping I was doing something. Remember seeing a proposed change for Widow where she does her full damage, but the last ~50 is DOT. This gives supports a chance to save anyone who would die, or enough time for them to find some other way to heal while still maintaining most of her burst & lethality. Of course some compensation buffs (maybe quicker charge time?) to go along with it since a lot of her power is in that instant kill. Honestly would love to see something like that in at least a test build, especially given how divisive one-shots are in OW2 (especially Widow in particular).

i think i had this guy in a plat game once. they played soldier so i picked mercy to pocket as i usually do for him if my other support picks a hero with high heals. they were so bad that i ended up switching (i don't think i used even 1 valk) because they gave me no value as mercy and there wasn't another good pocket target. like, once every 5 seconds they would tick some damage and also reload after firing 3 bullets. consistently died to random spam. i remember thinking geez, how did this guy even make it to plat? i know blue beam can sometimes make metal rank players nervous but that was ridiculous 😭 even if they were a gold in a plat lobby, they majorly underperformed. come to find out they're also cheating. how did they even fuck it up?

@PunkZombie1300 nah, this was a while ago. like late season 5, early season 6 maybe. my guess is they started their account cheating and it placed plat bc they rolled in new player lobbies so the system thought it might be a smurf. they might not have even had a proper placement when i played with them.

The cheating in comp so bad the DVA and Cassidy in one of my matches afk'd in the middle of the first team fight and suddenly their team rolled us hard for the rest of the game. I'm near certain that there's an aimbot trigger bot combo, which is why they don't fully charge shots. The trigger is "on hitbox" and it never charges because it's aimbotted as well.

I think the cheater is just stupid and the cheat settings were set for Ash and not widow. All the venom shots would've made sense if they were coach guns, and the constant tap firing at 0% charge while ADS makes no sense for widow, but those shots from an Ash would be team wipes with how hard locked they are. Just a stupid player using cheats the wrong way, ya love to see it.

I've got maybe a collective 30 minutes of Widow play time, and I think it's because the garbage shot charge up. Just doesn't make sense when there are characters with like 800 hp and a fuckin Hamster who doesn't even have a crit spot 90% of the time he's in play. I'm a pretty good sniper as I've been doing it since the early days of Battlefield Bad Company and Widow is just not a good enough character to warrant playing. I usually just use Ashe or even Hanzo if i want to play a sniper that's fun. Having to fight super beefcakes with 700+ hp as a squishy 200 hp with a gun that shoots cotton balls is not good character gameplay. Widow *is* super hot though, so I don't hate her from any other perspective than gameplay.
