Him getting stuck trying to get out of the goblin camp reminded me of my first run of the game, where i also forgot abt fast travel and kept dying trying to flee, then i managed to get only astarion out, but forgot Withers could revive my tav, legit thought i soft locked myself, tried to fight my way out again, gave up, and started a new run lmao.

Yeah I for some reason don’t have my companion. I also saved the refugees but killed the lady right when she proposed the idea. Killed her and suddenly everyone in the base was dead, even the healer that’s supposed to cure us😢

It’s so funny when you see someone just skip a whole chunk of the game without realizing and then seeing that same person play through a whole chunk of the game you missed. On my first play through I barely spoke to anyone in the goblin camp and just eliminated it.

I love that before I saw this cut scene, I read the thing about Selune and Shar. Knowing that someone is messing with Shadowheart. I haven’t gotten super far with her story since I e been working a lot but I’m so happy that actually reading the material you find sometimes shows up in the story.

@@RayofpandasGamingChannel even if it's something as mundane as a shopping list that you picked up in some random person's stuff, you should ALWAYS read every single thing that you come across. Sometimes it'll start a quest, sometimes it'll teach you a new alchemy recipe, and fairly often it's something you have to read in order to trigger the next step in a quest. But even if you don't get something tangible from reading things, at the very least all the readable objects in this game provide so much depth and world building... giving you lots of nonessential, but interesting nonetheless, bits and bobs of information about various characters, locations, etc.

Owlbear. Wow, I really enjoyed your playthrough. A lot of what you did differed so much from my playthrough. For example, in mine, I set the pixie free and was really nice to her. She felt my sincerity and gave me a buff that wards off the effects of the shadow curse. And a bell to call her from if ever the effects wore off. And tons tons more that you missed. And tons I missed that you did in your playthrough. Like I prefer the diplomatic approach, like some fights... don't have to happen. Would love to see a continuation to this, a series maybe? lol. 😅

Yeah, it was nice to know that certain things I did was far different from others and vice versa. Though a nice buff and the little battle would've been a great change instead of keeping the pixie captive :P I did start to learn that much later on and with the right roles you could easily avoid most big fights! There may be another video in the works within the next 2 months here to finish off the story!

It took me 280 hours to complete it on the easiest mode. (I confess I hate Turn Based Combat, but I love Realtime with Pause). I can overlook that combat, because oh gosh it so damn good. The story, the companions all 12/10. I played as a drow bard so I talked my way through some stuff. So now I play it on tactition, with a different char and its already an different game just in Act1, awesome!. Best game I have ever played, even above Witcher 3.

You’re playthrough is so different from any I’ve seen so far, albeit a little disjointed with how many quests you half completed at the start before leaving to explore elsewhere only to come back later. Because of that, I got to see several NPCs that will die if you don’t help them as soon as you find them. Great video, and I love that it was one long video instead of a bunch of short ones. The final Balthy fight is really hard. I remember my first playthrough how frustrated I was. Two things can make it a lot easier: counterspell and the Blood of Lathander. In fact, counterspell is your best friend period. And I'm still wielding the Blood of Lathaner in Act 3, it's so good. Also, funny I came across this because yesterday, inspired by another video, I built a BG3 version of Sylvanus Windrunner :D

Definitely treat it as a basic game initially. 4 people on a team, try and have one of each and if you don't have good lock picking skills, take Astarion with you! You can also quick safe/reload and try out different paths or fighting people

If you really want to experience the game from a completely different point of view, I recommend the Dark Urge character background. If you really play it evil, you will be left with 4 companions in the end and you will get a deliciously different ending!

It's definitely worth a playthrough and just depends what you feel most comfortable on. PS5 definitely is a go-to because of the money you'll save, but if you get some help or know how to build a custom computer, you could save the same amount if not more!

I'd love to see you get into the pathfinder series if you enjoyed this. It's definitely more complicated and DnD heavy compared to BG3, but Wrath of the Righteous specifically feels so true to DnD it's wild. Just with a slightly differing ruleset

No hate at all: some of your word choices are a bit misplaced, I think, haha. Saying someone IS a force to be reckoned with means they're more or less on your level and can be taken on. Saying someone is "privvy to your success" indicates that they are sitting in on your venture, being availed to your endeavor, but not necessarily doing anything directly to enhance it, themselves. I think Withers being "pivotal" to your success is what you were looking for. :) Like I said, I'm not trying to be one of those asshats that believes everyone should automatically know everything. I sure as Hell don't. I love learning new vocabulary. It seems you enjoy using different words in your script, which I greatly appreciate. (Honestly, it's a huge pet peeve of mine with people using the same wording all the time for their scripts) I enjoyed the video and subscribed! Great work! I would love more challenge/100 days videos.

No hate or offense taken here at all. I can really see what you mean when I'm explaining stuff or trying to think of clever ways when it comes to telling people a story. It's honestly a big reason why the typical Let's Plays for me never worked as well. Because of my more staple commentary people were either left confused or frustrated because they wanted to watch, but never understood with good reason. I really think my brain works different, but it's also comments like these that have me think and try to learn from what I'm doing. I know I can't please everyone, but this helps a lot more then most and I'll honestly try to sound more cohesive and so the point when coming up with a script. My bad on the musical words and back and forth there. A huge thank you as well though!

I missed the first half of this video because it came on while I was napping :) I'm gonna go back and watch it. But what I've gathered is that you skipped / missed a lot of content. I have a feeling you came into the final fight with Kethrick a bit under-levelled and under-geared because of it. If it's not too late, you should consider doing a new run and another 100 days video of BG3. There's enough variability baked into the game that it'll still be a fresh experience for both you and the viewers. Just pick a different class and race, possibly an origin character. The origin characters have GREAT writing and extra stuff you'll never see unless you play them. Everyone talks about the Dark Urge playthrough, but no one plays the companions. Be that man! :) Final thoughts... This game is not easy. It doesn't hold your hand, as many have said. It's very easy to miss things and to get in over your head as a result. That's exactly what happened to me in my first playthrough. I entered the colony WAY under-level and got my butt handed to me. It's ok to fail in this game. Play again.

I would definitely love to start over with the game knowledge i have of the game now. Though so many have been asking and curious about where the second half of the game goes. I will say after uploading this video, someone mentioned that I missed so many things some how and definitely hit that under-leveled phase when fighting Kethrick. The only reason I'd wait on doing that is with how long the video can take with this game, haha. Though you're getting so close to really changing my mind with that speech you gave here. Lol Game isn't easy, but for some reason BG3 has introduced me to so many other RTS games. I never thought I'd ever play a game like this before

Sorry but Gale, Karlach, Minsc & Jaheira (are found late game) are trash imo. (headaches!) Not biased against barbarians, but monks can do more (& no commitment to rage, which prevents concentration spells as an option) without being linear in damage choices. (Same armor choices)
