My father panned gold in the Black Hills of South Dakota, as a hobby for over 50 years. I bought a similar bucket for him the year he was dying. I knew I was getting hosed, but the look on his face (especially after the larger nuggets) was worth every dime. Because of a stroke, it took him several days to get through the dirt, which was part of the fun because like in the video, the larger nuggets panned out first, and he told stories about similar finds of years ago that came to mind. He panned a LOT of gold over the years, so he knew exactly how these companies operated, but we still had fun and it was great to see a smile on his face and to share a lot of old memories. Thanks for the video. It made my day.

Only one way to guarantee two things: More than one ounce in it, but never so much that they miss out by selling the bucket. These are tailings and they add 1.1 ounces, and sell it for the price of 1.6 ounces. The evidence is in the video: No ultra-fine gold dust, only visible sizes, only two particles slipped through the finest sieve. Without adding any ultra-fine dust, they reduce the chances of incompetent customers getting angry after recovering less than an ounce. One way to recover the money: Dry everything out, mix it up, put the gold back in, and sell it to another sucker for 1500.

What a stupid idea- “a minimum 1oz of gold” they just fill buckets with dirt and chuck just over an ounce of gold in and charge you over $500 for the privilege! Wow!
@laernulienlaernulienlaernu89535 жыл бұрын
rancid sausage good idea, how about chucking the gold back in the bucket but only putting a small amount of dirt in with it? Then you would get a much higher yield by weight and trick yourself into thinking it was worth the money!

That was very interesting. I have NO IDEA how I landed here, but I watched the whole thing. That was fascinating to watch. I only had the vaguest of ideas about how people “pan for gold”...you see it in westerns, but it seemed so Hollywood. I didn’t know how real it actually is! Nice video! 👍🏼

I got into gold panning for a little while a few years ago. This is the first video I've watched on anything related in years. Buying a $1500 bucket for $900 worth of gold seems like a nice recreation of what trying to pan for gold ends up doing. Except in my case did maybe 14 trips, took 10 tries to find gold for the first time. Once I learned how to find the gold, I always got some, but never much. It was always fun though. Forces you to go to beautiful remote places and get in deep with nature.

It wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews I've watched. You got maybe 65% of ur money back. When you think of the time and money you often put into a day or weekend on the river prospecting, packing equipment in and out and much more strenuous work, doing this from home at your leisure is a laid back way to scratch your gold itch.

I'm totally new to your channel this being my second video. You have great content and information about this process I like that you are not a schill for the company and went out of the way to be anonymous. I agree investment should be in bars or coins. This method should only be done by people like you because you went so in-depth. Saying how long it took to do everything. Because if I was to do this the excitement would be from the Knowing someone panned this. I which I wasn't so cynical but greed leads to greedy people and temptation leads to lapses in judgement and morals and actions.

Not really suspect. Its clearly advertises the weight of gold inside the dirt. Obviously its does go from the ground to sealed bucket as you will never be able to consistently find 1oz of gold in 30 lbs of dirt unless of course you added 1oz to it. Its hardly a trick when anybody with a brain can clearly see whats happening. The point of these buckets isnt to get rich (The company will but not you) the point of them is for disabled/unabled people to pan for gold in the comfort of their home. Unless you cannot physically go out I don't get the point of these buckets as its like a treasure hunt that tells you where and how much treasure there is.

@Fella Einstein Well you cannot look at anything like this from just your point of view. You also have to use common sense and look at it from the business side where they need to make a good profit per bucket to pay the people who dig it up and process it into the buckets. They aren't just going to sell you a bucket of gold where they don't make any profit

Hard work in the hot sun plus lugging all that equipment around not to mention carrying 5-10 gallons of water. That was in the mid 70's. It was definitely fun and I did find some gold whenever I went out. Now I live in Alabama. Disabled now but I want to take my grand kids out and try some high banking in middle Alabama.
