You got me! I watched a few of your videos and now I have a "Boot problem"! I've bought several pairs over the last few weeks all second hand from Etsy, Poshmark and E-Bay. I really enjoy cleaning them up, conditioning them and returning them back to their original lustre. I just received a pair of Lucchese Roper boots I purchased at a really low price (in my opinion) and wore them to work all day today. Absolutely the most comfortable thing I have ever wore on my feet. Keep up the good work with the videos!! Thanks for all the reviews and info on restoring the boots.

I get some decent exotics thats used. I got some shark skin Durango west boots for $35 and been probably some of the best boots i owned. Took about 50 miles of walking to break em in but they are the best work boot ever. You can get good deals and send em in toma cobbler for a full resole and finish for around $150. Get you some boots for around $30 to $80 and send em in you have a brand new boot at half the price.

Great video, Jeremiah! I've yet to find any boots for $10 but I've found several really high end brands like Heritage Boot Co., Stallion, and Back at the Ranch for hundreds less than retail. Some have even been in unworn condition. I agree with you that some of the boots I've purchased used, I like better than those I purchased new!

Nice find! Can't beat $30 boots. Looks like a good flip at that price. My most recent score was a pair of El Presidente - Gold Collection crocodile boots. The seller on Poshmark was asking for almost $200. The boots were listed as "leather" and had horrible pictures. I marked it as a favorite and waited for an offer of a lower price. The seller made a reasonable offer and I made an unrealistic counter offer of $80. We went back and forth with offer and counter offer until I bought the boots for a total of $104 after shipping. Thanks Jeremiah for infecting me with the bargain boot buying bug! 💰

Nice job Jeremiah. A couple of years ago I bought a pair of black Tony Lama R toe from ebay. Upon receipt, they were very musty smelling with mildew. I attacked them in a similar fashion. Numerous cleanings with vinegar, (inside and out) then drying in direct sunlight after each cleaning. Next, used saddle soap to deep clean. After several applications of leather conditioner, I polished the boots and applied black edge polish. They look and wear great!

Moldy boots 🤢 Glad they cleaned up well. Over half of my boots have come from a secondary seller such as eBay. It is a great way to get some good quality boots for a good price.

I got a pair of used Tony Lamas from ebay and they arrived quite clean. Still, I sprayed the inside with Lysol disinfectant and put them out in the sun for good measure. Of course I reconditioned the leather afterwards.

Alcohol alone does not kill mold. It will clean off the visible surface mold, but the mold imbedded in the leather will still be alive and will grow back.

I got 6 pairs of ariats all like new maybe warn one time for $50-60 each then I got 2 pairs of beat up ariat nighthawks for same price one I could clean up myself the 2nd I had to send to a cobbler for extra work and then I got another great pair not in my size but beautiful ariat boots for $35 recently also I’ll end up selling cheap to someone.

Yes. When these were done they smelled like a freshly cleaned and conditioned boot! The thrifty kinda smell also disappeared
