Step into the enchanting world of Rimworld Magic, where the mystical meets the mundane. In this thrilling multi-part series, I spent 100 days navigating the dangers of a thick swamp armed with nothing but magical spells. Can we fend off relentless raiders and ultimately beat the game? Join me as we harness the power of magic, face formidable foes, and strive to survive on the hardest difficulty. Will our magical prowess be enough to conquer this challenging world? This was played on Rimworld 1.5 with the Royalty, Ideology, Biotech and Anomaly DLC enabled. The difficulty is the losing is fun preset on 500% threat with the Randy Random storyteller. All mages can learn simple mage spells through scrolls, and most classes have a few spells that can be learned also they dont show up in the magic tab and you can right click spells with x mark so pawn can reapply spell or shoot it continuously for extra magic xp this is my favorite mod im so happy you finally make a series!!!!!!!

@@tsunmarie6058 Once I realized that healing magic hurts RWoM undead, liches became one of the easiest types of raids for me. I get Heal and Blink on as many mages as possible anyway, because they have so much utility, and you can quickly approach and nuke the thing. A Priest with max-level Adv. Heal and Blink can get within range of the lich easily, then usually one-shot them.

You're an incredible storyteller, I binged all of your rimworld runs and I LOVED them! Also, you probably get a lot of run suggestions, but I tried to do an insector cave run using biomes! caverns and alpha biomes and it was surprisingly fun! I also used regrowth expanded world generation to make mountains and caves more common.

@@TheBloch007 but they literally can though, the force is an indescribably powerful, easily gravity defying force not tied to logic or strict rules but to what the history mandates mostly, whatever just "fits" the "rules" does so because you suspended your disbelief to enjoy the story or whatever you got out of it, outside of it, it's just space-painted soft fantasy (at least as far as movie scenes go), and people could fall out of planets is the history mandated so, it even has an in universe precedent (the force). You are in your right to say you didn't enjoy or that it broke your suspension of disbelief, but to say that rules are static and it broke them just because you didn't find it personally appealing isn't that fair of a criticism for a framing that doesn't really hold itself to strict rules that much.

It would be very interesting to see if you could trap traders that come to your base and take all of their resources. It’s kinda a gamy thing to do, but fe (using an arcane mage) you could create a labyrinth from stone blocks, summon the traders muffalo to its center, and then use the ignite spell (inside of the maze) to heat everything up. If the labyrinth is long enough they will die from heat stroke and you get all of the resources for free Also there is a very fun way to heal (almost anything) using the chronomancer, really interested to see if that will happen in the next episodes

Keep an eye for a druid and a summoner, those classes are one of the best, one heals and cure deseases and the other summon various minions that help in anything in you colony

There is RoM research and also a RoM meme, that gives a unique job type with a nice skill. I usually combine it with alpha mythology, monstrous compendium dragons descent , and rimwar. Rimwar compensates when Randy is sleepy. Fire mage is on of the weakest classes in RoM, even with Firestorm. Summoners, blood mages, deathknights, and several other classes are superior. The archer(forget the class name) is kind of powerful with an awesome weapon ability and skill to charm pretty much any animal on the map as a fully trained pet.

Fire mages hive colony wide buffs to a lot of pawns at once while gaining a shit ton of xp tho. You can basically banish them to cantrip duty while they power level via their passive. Aswell as the ability to tend all wounds in emergency and turn noisy ground dry

Chronomancer is legitimately the strongest utility class tbh. Reverse ANY diseases INCLUDING death reverse missing limbs basically rig child learning to always get tier 8 by reversing their age a bit

you need to go to rim of magic settings and enable challenge me mode ;) the real hardmode :D also any pawn can become mage/fighter you can craft gems at the gemcutting table to make them gifted, and then the magic religion ritual or the tomes/scrolls of classes u can then become that class.
