Thank you to Nissan for sponsoring today’s video. Click here bit.ly/DonutNis... to learn more about the all-new, all-electric Nissan ARIYA.
We’re in Brazil to get a taste of this country’s insanely unique car scene. They have cars we’ve never even heard of, and we’re gonna experience these insane builds firsthand.
Big thanks to our boy @_glopes for showing us around Sao Paulo
Follow the shops we visited in this video: @arvedsgarage and @madeforstreetmotorsports
And thanks to Jamie Orr @xjamiexoe for sharing his knowledge of this beautiful country with us!

I don't know why, but this made me shed a tear. I haven't been behind the scenes of this video, but for what I have seen, Brazilians look like those cousins you can't wait to visit on holidays. The fact that they also have a car scene made of "what they have available", also makes it up for their awesomeness. I loved every bit of this video. Un saluto dall'Italia ai fratelli Brasiliani ❤

brother, BR suffers a lot from politics, but it has the most resilient people possible and we always find a way to overcome our needs to have what we love, and Brazilians LOVE cars A LOT, if you come to Brazil pay attention to what you will see of the cars in the streets, you won't see anything luxurious, but a lot of whimsy and of course, if you take an Uber, knock the door kindly. hugs from BR/Rio de Janeiro

For anyone wondering: The "AP engine" is a VW EA827 with some touches by the Brazilian engineers (mainly 144mm connecting rods instead of the original 136mm ones that came in the MD-270), the AP name came from "Alta Performance" or High Performance in English, and is more of a nickname than the engine model per say. As the guys said, it kinda is our LS, mainly because of the sheer quantity of this things around, but also for the cast iron block and for it's known capacity to handle boost (we joke a lot about the "AP treskilemei", or AP three-BARs-and-a-half).

Ethanol not only has a higher octane level, but it also liberates less carbon to the atmosphere than the gasoline AND while plant, sugar cane captures the carbon. So, until several thousand kilometers, it is more ecologically friendly than electrical cars (due to the high pollutant battery production process).

Concordo.

As a Brazilian fan of the channel I'm totally amazed about this kind of short documentary you guys did about our car culture IRL and not just talking about it. Love, Respect and Appreciation from Brazil!

part of the reason why i love brazilian car culture so much is because i grew up as an opel fan thanks to my dad, and seeing so many of these old opels being so popular in brazil is just awesome to me, and it's even more impressive what they do with them

I know right? They don't make Opel like they used to. I have a great nostalgia for old cars like that.

That's right, many of the "GM" cars in Brasil are actually Opels. I myself had an "GM Astra" for many years, just like the german model of that time.

Infelizmente a Opel saiu do Brazil, deu lugar a um projeto chinês de qualidade inferior 😢😢
