Pretty sure that was the point they rejected seeing it. I assume if they had accepted seeing it and someday went back on actually doing something similar they would risk running into legal problems sooner or later. Worse even if they already had a similar agent in production already. Seeing how I first studied IT and now am working in a more law focused environment I can think of a couple more issues you could get into no matter how much people sign and everything.

Honestly that sucks the project looks pretty cool. I work in game development and things like this happen to everyone when ideas and projects you worked hard on get rejected. It always feels like wasted time and effort but in the end there's always a lot of things to learn from it and improve on. Just never get discouraged one day it will work out!

Oh man, a lot of game franchises have so many passionate fans whose love for the game/franchise is enough to make them want to create content for the game, and it sucks that all their efforts most of the time go to waste no matter how much potential they have, and it's always about legal and copyright purposes. Individuals/small teams work hard to bring their visions to life, only to be struck down by the publishers/game companies. Makes you hate being a fan of the games. I've seen so many stories (especially in call of duty) of mods or other community creations being shut down right before or right after they release. Remember in the early 2000's when the best games ever released were mods of existing games?

I think many of us understood how dedicated you were to get a part in va team of Val. Getting into such projects, especially for teams like Riot is insanely difficult. I will say one thing, maybe Val did not work, but if you gave a shot in anime voicing and then get on field into gaming industry it should work for you. I know your dream of voice acting is reachable, just have to take different approach. Take your time to recover mental and get on that VA grind again. I FULLY believe in you. And Happy New Year.
