The CJ 5 alone has the potential to be worth a bunch more than $ 5000. Especially if it is rust free with only minor dings & scratches. And with a Isuzu Diesel cleanly swapped in it and cleaned up...... significantly more than $ 5000. I've been restoring or completely rebuilding classic Jeeps for the last 30 years. I have 4 currently and have rebuilt or restored 14 all together. From a completely rebuilt ( every nut, bolt & screw removed and replaced ) 1942 MB to a 1984 Scrambler. I currently have a 1974 CJ 5 complete rebuild restomod with a 400 + HP 401 AMC V8, a Completely restored to as new original 1944 Ford GPW using all NOS parts that took 11 years to gather what was required. Also I am the 2nd owner of a immaculate 1957 CJ5 survivor with 19,xxx original miles and a 78 CJ 7 currently building. You may not think so but you definitely scored if that CJ 5 is rust free and no serious body damage. Plus The top and doors alone on that CJ5 are worth a easy $ 700 - 1500 as is if not rusted through. If just cleaned up , Painted up with new weather stripping and window seals it's worth triple that to the guy restoring a old 1955-1975 CJ 5 who wants a hard top. The CJ 5 if rust free is worth a easy $2500 as is to a restorer . To me it would be anyway

Sure do love them jeeps. I would totally drive one
@christianmathison11822 жыл бұрын
Except they only go 25mph top speed. Lol! I bought my dad one to restore and it was so funny when I learned that the lawnmower was faster but they look cool!

Jeep Dispatchers, originally had 4 cylinder gas engines , earlier ones had 3 speed sticks or 2 speed a/transmissions
@juicebox22432 жыл бұрын
So they’re expensive?
@mikegleeson3492 жыл бұрын
@@juicebox2243 the 2 wheel drives are dirt cheap. I think only 1 of them is a Dispatcher

I have a craft channel, but I subscribed because you helped Craig 🥰. Restoring stuff is soo fun and I love garage sales and estate sales.

On things like this I can't help but wonder. How many of those abandoned storage units were from fallen service members?
@walkermediaworx2 жыл бұрын
When they rent the unit and declare on the forms that they are service members, there is a lot more care given to finding them or their family before they get let go. Don't worry about that, just have fun with the dig. I used to do this as a side hustle. 99.9% were lost due to addiction or mental health (you can tell from the contents/papers)

$5000 seemed WAY high to me for a dozen unchecked storage units. Personally I wouldn't risk more than $50 per unit.
@desertguy13622 жыл бұрын
On top of that head to clear them all in one afternoon. Max should of been 200 a unit.

That was fun just like opening pandora box. Hope you salvaged the brown furniture. You always get money back might not as much as metal but worth it. Hope you made your money back. Roll on the next installment.

Owning a thrift store, as you were even pulling out random junk I was mentally putting price tags on anything i saw value, and trust me, there was a lot. These things are gold mines if you just know how to handle them.

Oh gosh, I think those old jeeps are priceless! People restore those to new, and come to Reno Nevada for HOT AUGUST NIGHTS celebration and show off their restorations! I would buy one if I were a guy and mechanically inclined!❤❤

As someone who’s family is building some storage units, I’m both mortified and excited and the potential abandoned units to come. 🤣

Not sure if you are aware but you have over a 1000 Facebook accounts thus far - not sure if they are scammers using your name (mostly different names) with your picture, and a blonde lady in some of them - Just a heads up if you are unaware!

My grandfather owns an absolutely massive excavator on the outskirts of growth in New Hampshire it's been sitting there since he left it on the property after buying it after helping with the pipeline with it I'm sure it runs if we put a battery in it what are your thoughts on it I'd like to make an investment out of it for you and myself and my grandfather

I didn't think this was going to be that great for you judging by the area and the scruffy looking storage buildings. Asking $5k for twice that many units still wouldn't have been worth it. Hope those two Jeeps are worth $10k each just for karma.
@liamgrant35552 жыл бұрын
i was thinking myself charging someone with money 5k is totally just taking them on a ride for this crap
