Actually in gen 2 Breeding Shinies DID boost the chance

Follow is something every generation pokemon game needed. It not just for pokemon to follow u but in Soul Silver and Heart gold, pokemon following helps to increase their friendship so pokemon like Togepi, Buneary, Riolu and Golbat that need high friendship gain friendship when they follow you also would it not be great feeling to have pokemon following its trainer? You can also see how happy Pikachu gets in pokemon Yellow when it follows Ash. I think Follow is one features I wish pokemon could had added to all their pokemon games.

The Pokémon are in the base files, however it doesn’t appear they actually spawn yet

The attack skill of dark types will be important as you can battle against eggs with it, the shiny effect will come up so you don't need to wait for a shiny pokemon to hatch, also fire types and the mareep line are very important if you're exploring at night as they will light up the area around you so the ghost and cacturnes won't get you

Eggs in wilds can be shiny checked you don’t have to attack. You can check 5 at time.
