nuclear doesnt take away from solarpunk at all. its a renewable source of power, and fusion at least is mimicking stars

I personally think it wil be the future of energy production
@DaPuffinMC2 ай бұрын
That is fair. We’ll say it’s a fusion reactor. Those are just better anyways
@gearandalthefirst70272 ай бұрын
Nuclear is absolutely NOT a renewable source of power what on earth are you talking about. Fusion requires so little fuel that it's impact is negligible; but fission (the only form that we actually know to be possible on Earth) requires extremely environmentally disruptive mining. Still vastly better than coal, oil, or natural gas, but in no way "renewable." On that point, even the rare minerals needed for solar panels make them, ironically, a bad choice for solarpunk
@mikagaming72972 ай бұрын
Nuclear power is not renewable. It is based on Uranium wich you have to dig up from the ground. And you will get a lot of dangerous nuclear waste, what is really against solar punk. Fusion is also not renewable, but at least it doesn't create much waste, if any, so this could work with solar punk

Wow super cool build! The one constructive criticism I'd mention is it felt a bit intensive on world edit and copy/paste - I think it would have looked even cooler if there were some more variety of buildings and some more natural buildings (as in entirely or partially hand built). That’s not to take away from the build though, it’s amazing! 10 times better than anything I could’ve made and I can tell you put a ton of effort into it, earned my subscription

bro great video and quality. Try using shaders with the Timelapse's and removing the flat world and village as they distract a bit from the important stuff. And maybe try matching the footage with the video a bit more. I couldnt do it better myself but these are my suggestions. But even without them your Video was REALLY good. Keep up the good work!
@DaPuffinMC2 ай бұрын
@@fynn_gg. yea I’m still working on the video quality. With replaymod I can get it pretty good but I still need to use things like shaders very minimally. With the long timelapse footage shaders tends to crash my computer lmao. Also I made the map in a way where there is always a mountain or a ‘wall’ of trees so you can’t see the super flat outside of the map.

I wish there was a way to add more windows to the tall buildings since they would realistically need it. But let's say the wall panels are windows but from the outside it looks solid. Excellent for privacy. 😉Also, this is so beautiful. I love all the buildings and the landscaping. Is this supposed to be a completely self-sustaining city?

I understand your want to make thhe whole city walkable but a few monorails wouldnt be amiss in a build like this as they can be made fully electric plus their stations could be large builds that act as solar/wind power locations as well, plus you can have the rails be above ground so they dont have a large footprint and in theme the rails thenselve would provid good places for shade and benches and the like.

I honestly think that solarpunk is the future, but only with socialism or communism, capitalism needs to be overproductive and wealth, so it creates demands towards marketing, but Solarpunk isn't overproductive or incredibly expensive, it's based on the needs for machinery, productivity and human needs..
