as someone who used to main DF in ow1 it really feels nice that they created a much better version in ow2. i put off venture simply because i was learning tracer but now that ive finished that im learning venture it feels so familiar and i love the loop venture has and their skill expression. i feel like w venture just w dig alone you can create so much space by simply existing most often than not the enemy team stops and all look at you and you can just drill away taking pressure off your team w/o shooting a single shot

What do you do when someone takes your one trick? I can play multiple dps but on healer its mainly Illari for me. I can also play Kiriko and used to be pretty good with her but am super rusty now

One addition on the initial discussion of combos, you can instantly cancel your melee with any ability, so the best combo up close would be shoot, melee, immediately dash, shoot, then another melee or shoot if you missed part of the combo or they got healed. Your attacks play in a queue, so you can hold down the buttons in the order you want, and they'll go off as soon as they can.

Now that her drill dash recharges faster after activating burrow even when in the air you can aim a little higher and right as your about to run out of time hold down the burrow so you get a little extra recharge on the dash you should be left with only about 3 seconds till you can dash again.

Correct me if I’m wrong but for quicker burst damage on burrow you don’t need to wait the full duration for max damage, just until the bar is filled up.

It took me a while to figure this out because I'm a doom player but venture actually doesn't have to hit any abilities to get shields. Just pressing the buttons gives you shield.

This character has very annoying abilities. First ability gives invulnerability and immunity to control. Second ability: firstly gives mobility, secondly pushes enemies, thirdly gives shields for no fckng reason, fourthly deals damage. Or maybe brews coffee, but I'm not sure. I haven't had a lot of playing Venture. Her kit is a little over-tuned in top500 lobbies. Due to the way her projectiles behave, her splash is always 49% larger than pharah's rockets and is on average 25.33%% larger than junkrat's splash. Her greatest strength is also her greatest weakness; we know that she is so strong in top500 lobbies, we simply counterpick her and her most synergised party members from the outset. My experiences in top500 are simply more boring since Venture has been introduced. And since she was introduced, I've found myself actually playing the stock market more than video games, so my personal life is actually growing quite enriched (pun intended). If she continues being as overpowered as she currently is, Overwatch 2 will possibly dies its final and most dramatic death. Great video, Yeatle, I think many of the low rank players learn a lot from you. And your editing is sublime.

I'd like to add to this saying Venture is one of my favorite heroes. I am generally a tracer one trick, but venture has made me more of a 2 trick. They strike me as a hero who has some overtuned aspects but would be seriously damaged if given a significant nerf. Heroes that struggle on certain types of maps like Venture are a hard balance. Like, sure, I feel a little op on tight maps, but it I was significantly weaker on sniper heavy maps it would just mean not being able to play a hero I love on a good number of maps in the game... Which I've already experienced with Junkrat.

holy hell is this character annoying. almost unkillable with the shields after season 9 changes, imo not too fun to play as (very repetetive cooldown cycle compared to hero like doom). but what I "love" the most is the "you HAVE to look at me if you don't wanna lose half your health and get cc'd - BUT I'm invulnerable" mechanic, being their shift ability. Like imagine if a tracer on the flank had an ability where she would go invincible for 6 seconds, like whaaaaat? You literally get space for free on this character when you simply exist anywhere near the enemy backline. I too had some fun when they first released, but tbh now I just feel like the hero is very cheap/cheesy, not too mechanicly demanding, and just extremely weird to fight against. but that's just my 2 cents, maybe I am in the minority with this take

@@AntivenomOWskill demand does not cancel out annoyance, and drawbacks to a character don’t either. Widowmaker and tracer are skill demanding but also annoying as fuck. Junkrat struggles vs air targets but nonetheless is extremely annoying when spamming a choke point. Venture isn’t hard either, you shoot out rockets that travel in a straight line, have shield generation to where you done even have to hit an ability to gain any, and have multiple AOE easy to hit abilities. Oil up lil bro
