I spent $526 at the only 3 Michelin Star Vegan restaurant in the World ⭐️

I wanted to do something special for my birthday, so I decided to splurge for a fancy dinner, eating at the world's only 3 Michelin star vegan restaurant: Eleven Madison Park in New York City.
It was even voted the best restaurant in the world in 2017 and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most expensive vegan restaurant in the world too. documented the whole thing cuz i knew it wasn't something i'd be doing often and wanted to remember all the details. such a cool experience.

For anyone reading this, Gauthier Soho in London (UK) is well worth checking out. It's run by a chef who was formerly Michelin-starred then made the decision to go all vegan. It's not Michelin starred but is very good and their full tasting menu is less than £100.

It was just my birthday in August and though I could never afford something like this, I did try and find a video on vegan fine dining just to see what it was like and didn't find any. And then 2 days later, you post this! Great video, loved your commentary and editing style - how do you not have more followers! Great restaurant. Excellent video. I love how they understand how to create an experience and make the guest feel like it s a special event. Almost like a feel good day at a luxury spa. You can fill your belly at home (not on that level, of course). Having a great time and treating your soul is a super important aspect in going to a restaurant imo

Yup! I felt it was fair, it was a 4 hour ordeal and no detail was spared. The food was special yes but they also made US feel special, which was very cool. I agree with you!

Thanks for that! I thought it was really well done. I'm an omnivore trying to cut down on animal product intake, so it was really interesting for me to see what they're actually doing at EMP. For me, I still have the habit of wanting something substantial and "meaty" for the main savory course; I don't know that I would've been satisfied with that zucchini dish. Your descriptions were good - don't worry about technical cooking terms, you expressed things really well - but I'd really like to know what they were using for their "butter". Maybe ask the Captain if he knows? Thanks!

2:45 a waiter came up to your table mid-course to literally take food out of your mouth and throw away a perfectly good bowl of exquisitely prepared soup to replace it with the "correct" dish? they realized they made a mistake and didn't even let you finish the course they incorrectly served you? they would rather snatch it away from you while eating it and throw it in the trash? that alone would make me get up and leave and ask for a refund for my ridiculous $500 meal and never come back to this stupid restaurant.

I’m glad someone felt the same way I did about this. I’ve *never* heard of this happening, ever. They literally took a served dish away from a guest without clear explanation? To let you know how serious this is for a restaurant at this level, if it happened while Michelin was rating them, they would’ve lost one or even two of their stars. Michelin aside, the lack of transparency is alarming. Was there something wrong with it? Did they inadvertently contaminate it with an non-vegan ingredient, or one that was past its expiration date? Either way, it would’ve been a huge red flag.

What do you think we feed livestock? The largest proportion of the foods you’re thinking of (like soy) are grown to feed livestock, not humans. So eating vegan reduces the amount of animals that die that via plant farming practices too.
