This was such a nostalgia trip. Seeing beat up classic cards in a tin with a love of cards from the Blaze of Destruction structure deck really hit home. Really nice and kinda crazy how these random finds really give you at least a partial sense as to what YuGiOh was to some people, what they had to work with because we where all there at one point.

MrKarrab belive me when you see one you immediately now , there may be some high quality bootlegs somewhere but the ones i know the back of the card feels weird or sometimes is misprinted like its more to the left sometimes the edges of the cards are full black things like that , if you know your yu gi and see a fake one you can tell its fake cause something feels off

As a guy who causally runs Raging Flame Sprite (It attacks directly, and every time it does, it gains 1000 ATK), the 2nd tin may have been a burn or RFS deck specifically, based on Solar Flare being sleeved, Fire Fox being Sleeved, Dark Room being sleeeved, and all the Gravity Binds. As a kid my local target randomly had from time to time spanish YGO packs that were half price the normal packs. I'm not sure if it was an issue where they got sent the wrong product or a matter of having spanish cards avaliable for the local Hispanic community of kids

A lot of commons were overlooked. I ran a deck that had no archetype, it was just based on everything working with everything else. It had a lot of earth attributes so Spiritual Earth ArtX3 was my friend, especially during the battle phase. Ground collapseX2 to limit their monster zones. I’m pretty much the guy that started Fissure’s increased use in my region. I thought “Why does nobody run this?” Very simple, attack the weaker monsters then Fissure takes out the stronger ones because then the strong becomes the weakest on their field. Staunch Defender+Prickle Fairy+Cat Of Ill Omen+monsters that attack twice. Prickle Fairy 2000 DEF, when attacked the monster goes to DEF position. Staunch Defender would force all their monsters to attack it. Cat Of Ill Omen makes a DEF become 0. Twice-attack monsters took them out. Anteatereatingant was fun in this deck. It’s summon threw people off. “I set two traps face down and now send them to the graveyard to summon Anteatereatingant.” 2000 ATK. At the cost of not attacking with it you can destroy any spell/trap on the field. Monster Gate and Reasoning before they were on any list. Summoned Skull was a good beatstick. Honestly this deck went undefeated for 6 months at my local card shop. Took it apart to try other ideas.

So I'm glad I found this video becuase this is part of a collection I gave to goodwill when I first got out of yugioh. You are missing 3 tins (dragon ruler of storms, the pink earthbound immortal, and cyber dragon tin that came with the secret rare cyber dragon) most people dont know that goodwill ships some of its items to other good wills and or ross stores when stores need items. I live in mesa arizona and donated this collection because I thought I was to old to still be playing(I was 13) I am now 20 years old and im playing agian. The Spanish cards where from the dollar tree they had re sealed packs for a dollar. And all of the rare and foil cards where in the dragon ruler tin. Ive watched your channel a couple of times so I'm glad you found them. Oh yeah my uncle gave me a bunch of the older cards and he is a repair man so the tape we used was clear old school duck tape that is why its good. Most of the newer cards I bought with my first job where I helped my uncle at his shop. They most expensive card that should be in that collection was in the cyber dragon tin was the mint condition astral pack 8 trishula. They first 2 decks me and my brother made where a water and fire deck that explanes the sleeves . more of the cards where in the other tins

Before the anime was released in english my school was hosting japanese students on an international trip to Australia where one of the students came and stayed with us, at their farewell party a friend of the student who was staying with us gave me and my brothers Yugioh booster packs. we only had 10 cards each, but we learned how to play, which was hard because the cards didn't really work with each other and obviously 10 cards each was never gonna be anything good, but i was maybe 10, so we adjusted some rules to make it work and we had fun. a few years later yugioh hits Australia and i'm getting into it and then i remember I still had those cards and it's like "oh! so that's the show those cards are from! this is amazing! i finally understand how to play with them properly!" sort of thing, and I still have them, nothing super special in them, there's a remove trap, fissure, giant soldier of stone, petite dragon and mammoth graveyard, from memory, plus a few others. But my older brother must have gotten some special edition pack cause he had a Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl as well as a bunch of cards that work with the Dark Magicians, like thousand knives and magical cylinders, and most of them were foil cards too... I really need to find out if he still has them cause, of the 3 of us, he was least into yugioh and more into pokemon but maybe he kept them...

I know this is gonna sound far fetched but legit that first tin used to be mine card for card. I gave it my to friend from school named Juan. We rode the bus home together and he's a year younger than me. I taught him how to play because the game was getting really hyped at school and he hadn't ever heard of it and his parents wouldn't buy him any cards. I was really into the elemental heroes back then. I let him make a deck from all my of the ones that I didn't use. But when I grew out of the game I kept my favorite cards and gave him my tin. Man those were some great days. I'm kind of glad I got to see them all again.

I used to have lots of old schools legendary cards.. From the Blue Eyes (which I bought for 16 pages of paper on my bully classmate because we got an exam he and his gang doesn't have paper, that's way back when we were in grade 4) up to the GX.. Which I consider the dead end of Yu Gi Oh.. I am the only one who had Exodia, Dragon Rider, Dark Magician Girl (given to me by my brother), Dark Magician (also given by him). One of my classmate who also bullied me has a Dark Magician but I tore it up after I put his bag on the top of the flag pole.

There's a dollar store chain in Canada called Dollarama, and they sell repackaged brand new Yu-Gi-Oh cards for really cheap. $1.25 for a pack of 8, or $4 for a pack of 40. Every single pack that I've opened has had at least one foil, and some have multiple foil cards. So if you're in Canada and want a cheap pack opening thrill, check out Dollarama. I don't always want to spend $5 on a pack from Wal-Mart.

Those stacks were old, but not as old as the collection Ive got sitting around collecting dust for the last 8-10 years. There was a lot of cash put in to that collection before I quit playing around the end of Tuners era, before the XYZ Monsters were introduced. Also I was an adult collector so very few cards are scratched, creased or dinged. Most prized card in the collection is the Rainbow Dragon Ghost Rare misprint from TAEV-006EN which I picked up for $40 when the set launched, before it went up ridiculously in price.

When it comes to the spanish structure decks. You could pick them up from walmart and meijer. I remember when i was a kid and lived in Indiana and they sold them there. The person probably bought them thinking they were english.

It was around the time i was tearing everyone to shreds with Glad.beasts xD oh i miss those good old days....i miss the real good old days when monarch and injection lily were the top decks...i once pulled a ultimate rare cyber end dragon from a 2dollar pack i got from a media play that was going out of business, also found some cards at goodwill once, highlight was a Yata and a mint condition secret rare GoblinZombie...good times

My nostalgia card for sure is Magical Cylinders , the amunt of games i cheesed against friends with that card , i used that as tech in many decks for the better part of a decade

I'm from México, me and my friends have a huge collection fo yugi-oh cards since blue-eyes booster to recent dates. At some point we store all the cards in tins but with bad luck someone stole many tins from us. And seeing your video at first it was "Oh these cards, so nostalgic" but after some more and seeing the spanish cards was "That's weird... we had one tin with the same cards arraged in that way... woao" It's a huge coincidence, but obviously it's impossible that our cards go to so far away, right?
