I also think the reason OF is more appealing to women that are curious about dipping their toes into the industry, is because you're in complete control of everything. You don't have to have sex with a stranger on camera, you can just pleasure yourself, or film intimacy with a partner/partners that you know well and are 100% comfortable with. On the topic of people having to burn bridges due to NSFW work, as an artist who dabbles with NSFW work and is rather open about it, I defo had this issue. My moms SO used to hate my guts when he found out I did NSFW art, thankfully my moms very accepting and after a long talk Ive convinced her I know what Im getting into. But eventually we burned bridges with my moms SO and I had to move. It took me a while for the relationship to calm down and for him to accept me somewhat. But Im glad that I at least have a supportive mother who, despite not being at all happy with me choosing to draw NSFW, still respects me and is happy Im trying to find ways to make a living. In that sense, Im insanely priviledged. I know people with what we call asian tiger parents, who beat and disowned their child when they found out they were doing anime art, not even NSFW. Shits horrible, those people have failed as parents and can eat dirt. If youve ever gotten disowned for who you are and what youre doing, as long as its legal, you are not within the wrong. i would assume that the industry was slimy because of mans historical abuse of power especially regarding access to sex. In the past there was probably almost nothing stopping men or group of men from luring young women and having them perform sexual acts on camera under the guise of legitimate business, and it probably still happens today but to a lesser extent. Im glad that there have been processes set in place to protect the women and men of the adult industry, and that violet has been able to have a fulfilling career without any horror stories or upsetting situations, she seems like a really nice girl, and well spoken
