It's a skill, a tool, and depends on our judgement where it is applied. now yeah, some asshat shot up this poor dog, we don't know under what circumstances this was done, all we know was that the surrounding housing was in ruins and abandoned. It was terrible, but anyone has the capacity to do that. But on the flipside anyone can also make the effort to help. Tyler put his money where his mouth was he didn't just say, "oh, poor dog" , and put his ability, his money an extension thereof, to help this dog. For that I am grateful. He went above and beyond the average good Samaritan's duty.

My deepest condolences, Once I had come across a stray puppy who i found on the staircase of my building complex and it was making an odd noise. I never had any experience with dogs so i had no clue what the sounds meant. After a while i worked up the courage to actually go and give it some milk in a bowl and when i got there it had stopped making those sounds that it was making earlier. It was then that i realized that the puppy was actually about to die. I couldn't do anything because i had no idea where the nearest vet was so i stayed with the puppy until it passed away and i gave it a burial by myself. I couldn't tell my parents because they despise dogs. But that day had a huge affect on me and i can understand how you felt. Every creature deserves unconditional love. Once again please accept my deepest condolences.

But none the less i want you to realize that what you did was a beautiful act of kindness and don't ever think that it was meaningless or too small. As far as the rabbit's death is concerned, i don't really know what to say other than that when it will be his time, it will be his time. He will die in this body but his energy will live on in the things around him. You should show him love and kindness to the very last day and that way both of you will fell better by the end of this. I think that you won't regret helping the dog. It was a really kind and generous thing you did for him. I had a similiarish experience. I love cats and this one time a family of kittens ended up on my grandparents porch. The kittens were wild and one of them was limping for some reason. Me and my mom wanted to help the kitten who was limping because we thought it might have a broken leg or a broken ankle. My dad set up a trap and we were able to get 2 of the kittens. One of the kittens was this weird round(it had worms so it was super round and looked fat) black kitten and the other was the tiny little tabby that was limping. We named the tiny Tabby Sophie and the black kitten Pudgy. After we got the kittens we took them immediately to the vet who did an examination on Sophie and said he(it turned out Sophie was a boy) had no broken bones but something was very wrong with him. We payed extra money for Sophie to have an x-ray and it turned out Sophie had an intestine problem and couldn't get rid of his food he ate. It was more complicated but Sophie was going to have to have a million surgeries and be on extreme kitty life support just for a small chance to live. We ended up having to put Sophie down because he was in extreme pain and we were pretty sure he would die just in the first surgery. Even though I barely knew Sophie it was terrible to have to do that. We ended up keeping Pudgy though and he became best friends with the kitten we already had at home.

as a result of being an animal lover, I have 4 rabbits, 2 cats, 1 dog and a bearded dragon! out of those 8, half were rescues. I had something similar happen to me with a dog..he was hiy by a car and pretty badly injured.. people kept driving by him and I live in a very small town. I could NOT just abandon that poor baby. I took him to the vet, had surgery and then another surgery, and finally had to put him down . it was the hardest thing I had to do but it wasn't about me. 😢 I hope you are feeling a little bit better. I went through that with a dear cat of mine a few months ago, hardest fucking thing I've ever done. I even held him when they gave him that last injection, I wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. He was so sick, poor baby. They're not hurting anymore, and we can try to find peace in knowing we had their health and well-being in mind.

I personally understand your pain. I rescued dogs for years before I got sick with an autoimmune disease. I would do it out of pocket. People in my city would take free puppies and bread them for dog fights. It was awful. The only thing I could do was try to buy them back before they did any more damage to these puppies. I ended up in the papers and news after I rescued some puppies that were infected with the parvo virus. Horrible illness. It invades the intestines and kills the dogs within a few days. I fell see deeply in love with this black puppy named Frank who had the bluest eyes in the world. His brother started to get sick and he wouldn't leave his side. It was heart breaking. I had to watch all of franks brothers and sisters die. I knew what it would cost to take the chance and get them treated. It was 4-6 thousand dollars each. I couldn't save them all as much as I wanted to. The idea of losing Frank was so painful. I had to save him. I brought him to the vet and he was nearly gone. They kept him for two months. It was very touch and go. I called every hour on the hour everyday to check up on him. Finally he was ready to be released. Five grand later. He was sickly and thin. I spent the next six months feeding him rice and egg. They said he might live two years because of the damage to his organs. He's laying next to me right now. 6 years later. Healthy. Beautiful. My best friend. He's the love of my life. He's there when I'm sad. When I'm sick. He knows when I'm unwell and doesn't leave my side. He's a blue heeler/wolf. I taught him to speak, he can say "I love you". The most gentle soul in the world. People who hate dogs, love him. I got lucky. I lost all my savings and took out a loan. It's unbelievable how expensive vet bills are. You did all you could. I wish I could have saved his brothers and sisters. Needless to say, after that, I couldn't rescue dogs anymore. So I put those animal abusers in jail. I don't know why people hurt animals. But it's people like you who set great examples for the rest of us. You've gained some incredible karma. Take care brother.

I have been rescuing abandon cats, dogs and little critters in need of a helping hand for Many years. Finding them there forever homes as I never want to be one of those cat hoarding old ladies, even when I cry a million tears every time I have to say good by to them so that they can start their new life their forever people. So I give you huge props for doing what most people wouldn't. You are truly a very wonderful young man. I hope you find a way to get your top surgery soon. All the best from this 53yr ole dyke. You are something special that's for sure !!!

Your a good guy. I'm very proud of the choices you made for Bruce. And brush is not a stray dog. He is your dog, and letting him pass knowing that he is loved. That was the greatest gift you gave him. I'm a big dog lover too.
