Often when snow plows come when there is deep snow, they have no choice but to box you in with snow while They are clearing around your van, and you will have to shovel your way out. Watch some videos on how to get your car unstuck from snow; it will help to know what to do beforehand so that you don’t panic if it happens to you. It happens to everyone who parks on the street all winter long. Just part of snowy winter life! But with some tools and know-how, you’ll be fine!

Also, as a reminder anytime you in that type of weather you definitely, need the winter storm equipment that's required when living in your van. An automatic van starter, litter, salt, shovel, flash light, under garments to stay warm, a heating blanket, tire chains, there's more items you can research do know you have to be prepared when in this type of weather. Yes we can only guess at that, people have pride when they fall on bad luck and her relatives probably didn't know of her predicament. The cold weather she was unprepared for and contributed to her death no doubt. People don't realise cold will beat the strongest of us

Snowman making directions: once you get a small ball formed, roll it in fresh snow. The fresh snow will stick to the ball. Keep rolling the ball in different directions until you have obtained a large enough ball for your snowman.

Best advice for driving in the snow is to drive slow with your lights on. Wait for the plows and try and drive behind them. If you start to slide, take foot off the gas, turn wheel gently in the direction you want to go. Gentle short presses of the brake to slow you down. I worry about you being out there in such bad weather. Maybe you should park in town? The weight of your van and good tires, is what helps you with traction ❤ praying for your warmth and safety. Next time just keep rolling your small ball around on the snow,it will get bigger and that is your base the bottom of the snowman,then form another ball and do the same that will be middle part,then one more ball roll do the same and that is the head. You can use sticks for his arms ,use one of your hats for him.Stones for his eyes, carrots for his nose. 2:04 the most important things to know are to 1. Take it slow 2. turn INTO the skid 3. LITTLE movements with your steering wheel, don’t over correct. Freshly fallen snow isn’t so bad to drive in,…after the sun melts it throughout the day and then it refreezes overnight and you’re driving on a sheet of ice rather than the pavement, THAT is when it becomes really challenging!

Minnesotan here with Snowman 101 - you had a really nice start with those little balls. Next time, roll the balls around in the snow until they are the size you desire. The largest ball goes on the bottom. The medium sized one goes in the middle. The smallest ball goes on top. The balls are “glued” together by packing more snow around where they meet. You want wet snow so that it is sticky. To me, it looks like your snow was dry and powdery. Glad to see that you are keeping the child inside alive and playful.

Happy Birthday. Advice from a grumpy Canadian. Firstly, all terrain does not equal snow tires. To be a true snow tire the rubber needs to be remain pliable in freezing temperatures, not harden and become slippery. Secondly, you were not hydroplaning but skidding, skidding like hydroplaning is a real sense of losing control but they are different and you could research each. Get a set of snow tires and swap them out each winter season, Kaltire and others In Canada will store the 2nd set and they swap each season. Confidence is when the snow driver loses control, go slow, give lots of stopping space between you and the car in front of you. Driving in snow is fun and you know the scenery is nice, enjoy but stay sharp. Don't park against the curb or you may get buried in drifting snow, the trucks park in the middle for a reason. If the trucks are not rolling, it might make sense to look again before departure. An emergency candle with keep you alive warm, pack one. Sorry to be dad. Happy birthday and looking forward to snowy drone shots but be safe and think twice in a storm.

Also I think you cars heater only produces heat when the engine is running. When the engine is off, no heat.
