I love that he can so it with his cat. I got my tiny kitten 4 weeks abandoned in the woods after a while I put a harness on him maybe 6 months old and tried to walk him(I always had dogs) he just fell over like his legs broke. Nope he was not gonna walk. That cat Frank (lol, yep that's his real name) is now 14 years old and I want to put him on a harness so I can bring him on the balcony of my apartment so he can't walk over to the other balconies but he still does that fall over move---lol.... I have seen a lot of cats do that. So I put him in a little mesh bag so he can be outside(I live just outside a huge forest looking into the woods)

Don't you think before anyone does that this should be verified? This seemed fishy to me. Why is John warning everyone and arguing with the guy and saying all these things he is doing and saying he is calling cops but never does? It's possible this guy John has a personal vendetta with Frankie and is trying to make his life hell. Did anyone hear these supposed arguments? I wouldn't accuse or spread someones picture without proof especially since it wouldn't be hard to verify

As a Max Security Corrections Officer, situational awareness is now just part of my life. You aren't being paranoid by watching your surroundings and protecting yourself. That's just self preservation. As I type, a pack of coyotes are within 100 yards of my house. My small dogs are indoors and asleep, but I'm always armed and if they enter my property, they're history. Protect yourself and what is yours. Human, animal, whatever. Don't be a victim.

I don't remember which channel but one of the channels that has been around for a while did an interview once of this older guy in a minivan. He had all of these books under his bed and first I thought he flipped books to earn money, but they all turned out to be children's books. Every. Single. Book. He was completely nonchalant as he described how he likes to have books for young people to read. And he invites them into his van so they can read inside. I couldn't finish the video. I was mortified that he thought this was normal behavior. I'm not sure if the guy interviewing him was really that clueless or he thought he was doing a public service by letting the world know to look out for this guy. Either way, super creepy. Mateo, I am very happy that you and Lars got away from that situation. I know what it's like to get stuck somewhere without the money to move on (my experience was called COVID-19, when I went to Quartzsite in January 2020 and my plans all evaporated along with my minuscule savings). We do what we do and we adapt and overcome! We persevere, live, learn, and know that better days are coming. I know how easy it can be, especially if you're used to the nomad community that is as kind and giving as you are, to overlook the red flags that are abundantly obvious when you pay enough attention. Bad actors exist in our community as well, and it's important not to gloss over this fact. Stay aware and stay safe! We'll see you down the road!

Safety first...and honestly, no matter where you're at or how you choose to live, there are questionable folk. You've gotta stay vigilant and aware. Be safe y'all it's a jungle out there. 🖤

Even though you use different names the story is detailed enough for frankie to know who you are talking about, which is creepy in of itself. Another lesson to learn. Never the less people do need to be made aware,so thank you. Be safe.

That site was blessed that John knew of this persons past and character. I shiver thinking what if he had not informed others. 🥺 And the sad fact . . . we never know who we are really engaging with. Stay prayed up and listen to those Godly warnings. Stay safe out there dear man. 🙏🏽💓

Oh My God thank you for telling this story. I'm a parent & a Nani to amazing children that I felt I have given all the safety information I had learned through the years . I now have something more to learn and teach my crew. Thank you for this eye opener. I truly believe this information is going to save someone. God bless you for opening up and telling your story.

Use your gut instinct, don't listen to others. Others like to talk about other people. Half the time, they don't even know the situation. Life is a mystery. You have 2 choices. You can follow the masses of ignorant individuals. Or you can meet those people yourself and make your own deliberation. That's the only way you're gonna truly find out something. Even that guy that warrants you can be a threat. Everybody in this Earth can be a threat. All depends on the circumstance and the situation. So even the guy that warrants you can be just as much of a problem. Probably more. You never know in this world, just enjoy life. Be alert, stay vigilant and stay kind-hearted.❤

Don’t worry about not having positivity to share all the time! Life is a balance between the good and bad, we shouldn’t be afraid to share both. Thanks for sharing your story and keeping it real:) Glad you and Lars are safe!

I'm addicted to your videos. Glad your safe. This may seem like nothing but just a tip about food. I think you can take care of yourself. You seem very aware and conscious. Ok not asked for, but if you buy cocoa powder. Hersheys or whatever brand, and put it in milk on stove. Stir it with a whisk, with the amount of sweetener ( sugar or Splenda) you want it makes real real real hot chocolate. Want it more chocolate? Add more cocoa powder.Want it more milk chocolate add less. It's literally a taste preference. It's cheaper than the packaged stuff and healthier. Add that to toast with peanut butter dipped in, and you won't think you're on this planet anymore. Recipe from depression era.

I just did my first test run with my van. It was pretty crowded, I was hoping there would be more empty campsites but by the end of the first day someone had come and taken over my campsite because there weren't enough to go around. It was pretty intimidating but I was done with the fire so I just shut my curtains and stayed in my van. I'm a very distrustful person so I try to keep to myself in life and when I go out camping.

What an interesting and thought-provoking story, Mateo. I'm so glad you were able to get out of that potentially dangerous situation safely. It's always good to be cautious around strangers, as you never really know people's true intentions. I appreciate you sharing both the positive and negative parts of your van life experience - it helps all of us travelers stay aware. Thanks for using your platform to help educate and look out for your fellow astronauts. Wishing you many more peaceful adventures ahead! Keep the inspiring videos coming.🙂

Glad you shared. That was really creepy. I can't stand drama. A few mos ago my companion and i was at a place where there were alot of other vehicle dwellers and while nothing near what you experienced there was 1 guy always stirring up drama & a woman always talking about the devil & the apocalypse. Needless 2 say, after a short time I'd had enough of the constant drama. Like everyone else says, you need to be really careful & have a few places marked out that you can possibly stay/park in case things go sideways. It might not be someplace you particularly want to stay but would do in a pinch until you can leave. Be Safe!!!!

You're such a good guy who has a huge heart, which makes you a trusting person. (I have the same "problem.") Part of being street-wise is keeping a portion of suspicion about every person you interact with. Not because people are inherently untrustworthy, but just because you never know when a situation can sudden turn sideways on you. We never know who a person truly is. More and more people are being priced out of rentals and turning to a more vagabond life. On the streets, we don't usually have that "neighborly watch" of "good looking out" that you get in a sticks & bricks community. Some people are on the road because their on the run. "Not all who wander are lost," but not all who wander are GOOD, either. I'm not saying to be leery of everyone always, but DO keep in mind that you don't know what another person's motives TRULY are. I want you to stay safe, while keeping that pure heart of yours. 🖤 That said, the PNW is a beautiful place to be, but be cautious in Washington. It's a bit weird there and not in the fun Portland--vibe kind of way. (Especially with the street folk.) Keep your gaurd up in Washington. (Especially in Seattle, but all of Washington is a bit sketch.) For real, keep your doors and windows locked, and keep your head on a swivel. WATCH other people for a bit before you start to interact. Oregon folks are all truly friendly. (Yes, I'm biased 'cause I've lived here ~25yrs) but I've lived in and spent enough time in WA to know it's suss. On the Left Coast it's easier to remember to keep your guard up in Cali, but it's easy to let it down in WA where people present friendlier. Just be careful it's not a front. No matter where you are, have some personal protection and a way out. Always have a Plan B in mind. I'm not saying be strapped at all times, but I am encouraging you to have ways of keeping yourself safe from attack or theft. You don't have to lose your ✨️"Bright & Shiny"✨️ to stay smart and one step ahead in a situation. Much Love to you and Lars. Y'all are good peeps and I think of you as a "friend I've not yet met." Just want you to keep on living your best life. 🖤💙🖤
