Over the winter, I built an axle for my 2001 TJ. Today I am headed out to Bunse School Road and the Ironclades Trail in the North Central Colorado Front Range to twist'er up and test'er out before this season of off road fun.
I built it my self and in this video I am doing flex test, looking for binding and any issue that will need attention. While testing, I find a group that rolled a side-by-side so I got to do a little recovery for them to get home safe.

Thank you. Those guys were in a rental razor too so we saved them a recover fee from the rental place. Got to use my new winch rope too hahaha. First pull was to the rescue.

You'd be surprised and how often we come across a rolled rigs, broken parts on stuff or even a couple stuck for a few days. It comes with the hobby. Just pack your rig accordingly. Fire supplies, water, snacks, good hiking shoes and rain gear just to start.

Did you make a video of your front axle build?

I did not. I spent 5 months saving and sourcing supplies and did not want to mess with it doing videos here and there. My mind was 100% on the build vs the production lol. I regret it now but it had to be done... I folowed Dirt Lifestyle and Muddy Beards build videos.

Isn't the f250 Dana 44 wider? I'm trying to figure out my build also

Yes it is for sure wider. About 3 inches wider, per side. It give so much stability but it is wider. I had to use 2.25 wheel spacers on the rear to get close to the front width. I have been wheeling it and daily driving it for about 4 years now and I have adjusted and don't even notice the wide on trails now and I love the wide stance on 4'5 lift.
