That DL16S looks a lot like the Behringer XR18 digital mixer. I suggest running an external dual band router instead of using the internal wireless feature. Discovered the hard way that the 2.4GHZ is overcrowded and with cell phones pinging nearby networks it can cut connection to your iPad/tablet. I grabbed a cheap TP-Link dual band router, hooked up via 5GHZ and turned off the 2.4GHZ, not an issue since. The only time I'd say leave 2.4GHZ on is if you are going to be really far away from the mixer! Cheers bud!!
@Holtenstein6 ай бұрын
I suggest a good router for the mixer with its own wifi network. When you have a ton of cellphones in the room you will lose connection with the mixer's built-in wifi! If it's wired via USB then you shouldn't have an issue. It's just if you're live mixing with iPads.

And half way through the video, my bands drummer phones me excited as fuck about the demo for the new song we're working on. And we literally just started talking about something we've wanted to do for a long time which is host a yearly event/festival for unsigned bands. Funny how these things work out 🤣🤣🤣

Kyle, you need to be really careful with having a show at the Venue. You can’t have a bunch of people in that Building with all your gear in there. There are some very dishonest people and Drug users that will steal anything they can get. I just don’t want to see you get robbed. All that expensive gear is in there. You have some really nice stuff please be safe with it! Keep on Rocking 😎🎸🎸 Congratulations on your new venture

I appreciate the concern, but it's crazy to me that so many people think I haven't thought about this and don't have ways to protect myself and investments. Life is a risk. We risk it every day. I'd rather risk it for the greater good than protect all of my stuff for myself and never use it for it's intended purpose just to die one day having never contributed to the world.

@@belligerentamateur love the idea of it, and hope it works out man. I too would be a bit concerned even about accidental damage if that place gets packed. I take it from your statement that you are financially covered, but you know as well as anyone... tube amps are a fickle beast. Just my opinion, but I like that area with the Marshall wall for future live shows. That is, with the extra equipment stored somewhere else, lol. Seems like a layout I've seen in small clubs, where the bar would be the lower section.

In case you haven’t already thought of this specifically. Maybe some air tags on high dollar easy to move things. There are some other options on Amazon too. Some stuff that doesn’t even need WiFi. Not everything, but on items that would be most likely targets. And cameras with IR. Also find out if any of your neighbors have cameras. Also add dummy cameras in addition to the legit ones. Keep them MFs on their toes. I work for a security tech company so my brain is screaming to get your stuff protected. And be careful who you tell ANY security & surveillance specifics to. Keep note of ANYONE that even brings it up “oh man I bet you got like 10 cameras at least! And some type of hard drive to store like DAYS of video right bro?!” Sadly, if you get robbed, it will more than likely be someone you personally know and thought was a friend. Inside jobs are the most common in these situations.

Kyle... Congrats on the new place dude. Good luck with your new venture. You have an obscene amount of gear. You are my hero. I did cringe when you showed the basement with all that gear down there. That basement is damp. The peeling paint, the condition of the floor and I thought I saw water around the furnace/ hot water heater area. This a recipe for getting mold on all your stuff. 3 recommendations..... Get your gear off the floor. Get some used pallets and put your gear on that. Get a dehumidifier and run it constantly. Get a pedestal or box fan and run it constantly. Humid stagnant air will cause mold to grow. You don't want that, you have too much cool gear. Again congrats, love your channel.

Totally! The life of a trust funded consumer is what all people should aspire too! My airline mechanic neighbor only owns 1 truck, and 3 amps, and is paying off one property. If he only was born into money, he could own a hundreds of thousands of dollars of amps, bikes, and homes...at his daughter's age! Shame on him for his hard work, when his parents "could" have bought him paid bots, to pretend a 40K channel pays for his lifestyle of the rich and trust-funded...with the riffs my teenage daughter would be embarrassed to post online! Life in the fantasy, "I paid for this with a 40K youtube channel" is quite convincing...to delusional people & paid bots. But hey, you're a subber to Paul Joesph Watson, the Alex Jones tool, so reality ain't quite your thing. Rock on, bot!

That is absolutely FANTASTIC Sir ! It doesn't matter whether it's small or big, such venues are really necessary. People need to be able to gather again and have fun listening and watching live music ... and it also doesn't matter what genre of music for as long as it's played with heart and soul, and it's fun or sometimes just stunning amazing. Music is THE absolute über art form, when it's performed at it's best. Music is like an arrow, bypassing all the mental filters anybody builds over time, and hits people right in the heart. 4 thumbs up!👍👍👍👍

Damn son! That's a lot of gear and one hell of a studio. It looks like you could sell a lot of this stuff to help fund your studio and give them a home to people who will use them. We need more local DIY studios like this. BTW you should set up the live room to look good for video recording the bands as well. It's super cool to see bands playing in studios and all that. I follow a Russian music KZbin channel called "Цех" (it means shop/warehouse), where they record and show bands playing live in a warehouse like setting which is pretty cool. They're all different Indy rock bands playing there. Good luck with your new studio!

Are you uploading the live shows? I think the exposure for local bands would be great for your channel and then you could start a trend. Inspire other people to do the same thing open up small venues, and feature local bands. I play guitar but I'm not in a band. I have several friends that are in bands and have been in those bands for many years, and they played the same Venue's over and over again because people love them. Nice. I looked at Mackie PA's but ultimately went with Yamaha DHR15's. They're a bit more efficient and I'm not trying to spend that kinda money on subs. The 15's I went with get down pretty low. Somewhere in the 40hz. range. It's really hard to find demos on PA equipment. But from what I could find, the Yamaha's always sound tighter and just crisp. I've had so called "experts" tell me it doesn't matter what size or brand mains you go with, you have to have subs? Not true. If you buy better quality mains, built with wood cabs and wider frequency response. Your not gonna miss the subs as much as you think. Especially in small to medium rooms. Usually, one sub has to be turned off in small rooms like that, or you'll get wicked phase canceling. It's gonna be loud as f..k either way. Mackie Thumps hit hard, but I've heard horror stories of them taking the piss on people in under 2 years. Then they have all kinds of problems getting replacements, only to have those poop out in short order, again. Yamaha has a 7yr. warranty.
